I like Finback quite a bit so I'll just go during the week when I can, I have a car and not too far away. I just have no desire whatsoever to wait in line for any type of release. and especially don't want to interact with these types of crowds.

Oh yeah, that was happening both in front and behind of us as well. That doesn't bother me though as long as people are respectful - which they all were so I have no complaints.

Tell them if they want to hang out as a group, join their friend at end of line.

Ah this makes sense now. When I rolled into line some DB came by feigning to head to the back of the line saying 'so sorry, so sorry'. He then proceeded to head to the front and we never saw him again. Really classy stuff. I hope he gave his BA BQE to the first guy who missed out because of his douchebaggery.

The old man sitting outside with us in the chair with his thousand year old blind dog gets MVP today at FB.

That dog can get pets all day. Marlo, @NYC-IPAnAPA 's massive ridgeback, too...

Saw two people drinking behind me in line today. It didn't bother me at all bc they were discrete, respectful and cleaned up after themselves. It wasn't like the shit happening at OH on the weekends.

Met a group from CT that were very nice and even held my spot in line when I had to run back to my car for my food. Its people like this that restore my faith in the beer community but then its the people as described above that make me walk away again.

Muat have been in line right behind you. That dog didn't want to leave.

Highlight of the day was the moron from jersey who was parallel parking and hit both cars at least 6 times each then drove off after his gf/wife looked to embarrased to get out.

Lined up just in time to observe said douchebag's sardonic apologies to the whole line. Given his apparent mutterings to himself, I just assumed he was schizophrenic or tripping balls, or both. However, your account reaffirms the high per capita of assholes NYC's overpopulation entails; the craft beer nerd community remains susceptible to their scourge.

    I digress.

All in all, not a terrible experience, plus a chance to get some vitamin D on an unseasonably warm February day. Not withstanding Spiced Massif, a good opportunity to indulge in some tasty beer.

Agreed. That old blind dog was awesome. Even if he didn't want my boy Marlo anywhere near him. Then again, given the difference in size I can respect that. If I was elderly and blind I probably wouldn't want to be approached by a dude that was approximately 15-20 times my size.

Jaime good deal calling out that DB's self-entitled behavior. Had I not been walking my enormous Ridgeback around the block at the time of that incident I would have been unfortunate enough to have witnessed that disgusting display. Go back to the Other Half line buddy...that you didn't wait on....

Ha, thanks a lot. Yeah Marlo comes with me to nearly every beer release or beer trip that I go on. Feel free to come say hi to him (or me) next time. I get stopped by people all the time and asked something like: "hey were you by any chance at Trillium in August? Because I definitely think I remember you and your dog." Which I of course know means that they just remember Marlo....but I'm totally cool with that. I can't compete with him...

Ha thanks, I was going to tell you about it when I saw you but didn't want to cause any more drama. The group of his friends that were in front of us all thought I was being ridiculous. Smh...

Anyone try this batch yet? Not sure if it's been available on tap anywhere. Generally a fan of passion fruit in sours, but feel like Finback's sours can be a bit hit or miss, plus the trip out is a bit of a commitment.

The gose? I had it on tap 2.5 weeks ago and loved it. I wanted to get a growler fill but that wasn't an option at the time. Plenty of salt showing. Fruity. Great aroma.

About to head over to grab some. I'm guessing there's a minimal line, if any.
