Heard people saying they took Q55 bus to get there. Don't know the details. Kew Gardens subway stop is kinda close. Long walk or uber.

Thought more about your question. There is no theme to this bottle share, just bring good stuff. Also, there is not an online spreadsheet for this one. Is this what you wanted to ask @BoardwalkBock ?

Yea I guess the vagueness kind of just threw me off guard. Was wondering if there was guidelines and/or a theme, but looks like it is just an open bottle share. If I can find someone to take the ride with me, I'll be in attendance. I have some stuff sitting around I would love to share with some fellow BA's.

FYI: L or M train to myrtle wyckoff and then Q55 bus. Otherwise, car service from Bushwick is about $12. Address is 7801 77th Street in Queens. You can bring food or order delivery from the collection of menus they have there from the area. Tap room is a big space.

BTW for those that are skeptical about taking a bus in nyc - use the mta bus time website. It gives real time bus info. Really useful to reach places like Finback.

QFT. I'd recommend an app too, a bunch just mirror the website, very helpful for riding the bus.

Hey guys, can anyone tell what, if any, bottled stuff Finback has right now? Thanks.

I don't believe anything. They had a SUPER limited bottling run of BA BQE and Smoke Detection in December-ish, and nothing else since then, i believe

That's when I was there and what I saw. Kinda wish I'd picked up the BA BQE but the $25 pricetag at Brouwerij Lane dissuaded me.

Any idea when BQE stout is coming back out?

25.00 for BA BQE seems steep but it was phenomenal. I paid that for BC Vanilla Rye and it's hard to say the latter was demonstratively better. Expensive beer but both worth the splurge, I think.

Does that mean it's out right now?

Yea I would love to know that. I missed out last time. My problem is that there is no store anywhere near me that sells Finback (besides Smoke Detection which I think was a colab with Blind Bat? Would make sense since BB is LI-based) and if I'm gonna have to drive (spending money on gas), not to mention that I work until 5 on most days out in Suffolk and would have to drive to Queens/BK in rush hour traffic (no thanks; already takes me an hour plus to drive 29 miles home), the beer is obviously going to cost more than the retail $25 with the gas + my time. If anyone can pick up an extra bottle (if it is currently out), I could drive into BK/Queens or take the train to NYC on a weekend to pay for the bottle plus some extra reimbursement.

When I saw BA BQE it was on shelves next to smoke detection (back in december, not recently), so I'd think whoever got smoke detection would also get BA BQE, but I could be wrong. I don't think they've bottled anything else, and smoke detection lasted prob a week+ longer than BQE (which only lasted a night), so you may have just gone after they sold out of BQE.

Was this in Nassau or closer to the brewery? From what I heard, BA BQE was only available in stores within relatively close distance of the brewery. The store I frequent near me in southern Nassau said they were only able to obtain Smoke Detection because it was a collaboration with Blind Bat. I haven't seen any other Finback beers anywhere in Nassau.

It was closer to the brewery, manhattan specifically. actually thinking about it they put up a list of everywhere it was going, and I think it was all closer to the brewery(~19 stores total), so you're probably right.

They posted pictures of barrels filled a couple of weeks ago. Assuming that it is BQE. So probably won't be out for a while. They are having their 1st Anniversary on May 17th. Maybe they saved a keg from the last batch......?

What is being released for Finback 1st Anniversary Celebration is their new Barrel-Aged Plum and Proper, described as "a smoky sour dark ale brewed with fresh plums.", in their taproom on Sunday May 17th to close out the 2nd Queens Beer Week. It is delicious.

All these posts just reminded me of my bottles of BA BQE.....I forgot to drink them.
