If Finback hasn't responded on any of their social media about the issues that happened last weekend I highly doubt anything will change. The same frustration occured during the BABQE release with hours long line and 1x POS for what is considered their biggest release of the year. After that release you think they would've made some changes to go to 2x POS terminals but obviously they haven't done anything like that. As the craft beer "bubble" begins to burst these breweries will really have to work on the experience their customers have to differentiate themselves. Getting fresh IPA cans isn't as much of a novelty as it used to be and if a brewery only offers frustrating experiences and bad service they're going to lose customers rapidly.

I had OSC008 and FTL Rye Barrel at Haymaker last night and I thought both were really really good. I'll go back to Finback but def not on a release day until I hear some changes have been implemented. With that space I really feel like they could have something awesome going on but for whatever reason they choose to do things that seem to take away from the experience (yoga, private parties, limited seating, no kitchen, etc...).

I've been to Finback a few times and really enjoy their beer, but the line is always painfully slow. Anyone think they do that on purpose to discourage people from lining up?? I know I never go the day of a can release for that very reason. I'm sure they realize that adding an extra POS or two and having the cans more readily available up front would speed things up. They have to realize that, right?

I posted the below article the other day but it's worth mentioning again after seeing your post. The Edible Brooklyn piece was posted TWO DAYS before the release and cites back to back HOUR long yoga sessions at 11am and 12pm. The guys running the show must be completely incompetent if they didn't realize this would push the open back at least an hour -- they absolutely should have given proper notice.

Oscilltion 8 is my favorite IPA asides from visible spectrum I've had from finback. Doesn't have that strange malt sweetness that makes me dislike their IPA's. A little boozy but that's about it as far as negatives for me.

They still have every beer in stock? Including the collabs?

Past couple of releases I showed up hours after on the release day and was able to get everything I wanted without a line. What is the reason behind showing up early? Anyone? Lessons learned? Cheers.

Does anyone know if there are still Between the Dead bottles available at the brewery?

No, they posted a photo of the line on instagram with some sort of humblebrag caption and no mention of the line being long because they didn't open on time/etc.

First two sound equally intriguing and disgusting - definitely a sample then buy approach

Nice to see they've heard the complaints and are trying to correct them.

Drinking a Stellar Wind as I type this. Fantastically balanced beer. I would never think this was 10%. Very tasty, nice malty backbone.

Did the additional POS make for a more pleasant checkout experience? I was surprised to see that they sold out of a can day-of. Their offerings (sans BA stouts) usually last days/weeks.

Also, how are the RAR and Marz collabs? The neopolitan IPA sounded intriguing.

I got there at 1230 and there were probably 20 people in front of me. Only took about 10 mins to get my beer and be on my way. I thought it was relatively quick considering how many options they had (7 or so cans, 2 bottles).

Best experience I've had there. Was home in time for puck drop!

Drinking Gumdrop now. Its a very good IPA with all the aromas expected except the chocolate. Not getting much strawberry or chocolate on the taste but plenty of vanilla. Gonna let it warm up.

I heard they were selling a lot less than normal. They're working on hype.

I got there around 1245/1 and Visible Spectrum just sold out. Either people went heavy on the preorders or they just didn't make that much. I've never seen a can sell out at Finback in 45 mins like that.

Broadway Boogie is right on point with Jungle Boogie. Maybe slightly hoppier.

Gumdrop Mountain is super tasty but I'm hard pressed to taste any Neapolitan flavors in it. Tastes like a solid Finback IPA.

As far as POS, waiting for beers at the bar, etc..., everything was very smooth. All of the issues from the previous release were non-existant. Place was pretty full and everyone had brews.

Anyone know what they have left? Do they still have Stout bottles?
