Finback Brewery (2018)

Have had BA BQE the last two years at St Gambrinus, vaguely remember at City Swiggers last year? St Gambrinus also had Apple Brandy BQE two years ago. Best bet is to frequent bars/bottleshops that often carry Finback's release leftovers

 

I had BA BQE when Haymaker first opened up on tap. I think that was 2 years ago though so I don't know if that means it makes it on tap this time around.

 

Indeed, a couple years ago- 2015 I think- I managed to get a bottle at a tapping at Whole Foods Columbus Circle, and then again at Hops Hill. So I assume it is common practice that some bottles are held back for events that may or may not allow take away consumption. Will just keep my eyes peeled on Beer Menus and social media I guess.

 

Don't know if bottles will see any distribution, but kegs almost certainly will as mentioned in the posts above. They will most likely show up soon as it' stout season ,and then pop up at special occasions throughout the year

 

stopped in to Finback last night to pick up my BQE bottles..super chill as always..tried both the 17 BA BQE, and Salted Caramel BQE..both were delicious!..also tried the Polyphonic DIPA which was exceptional as well

 

Both BQEs are on tap?!? If so I needa get out there.

Wish finback opened early than 5. Driving anywhere near that area from where I live at 5 is horrendous.

 

Had Polyphonic last night at OMH and, frankly, it was the best IPA I've had from Finback in a long time. Strongly recommend trying that one out if you come across it.

 

Picked up a 4 pk of Oscillation 11 (Double IPA) recently. Very impressed, super juicy.

 

Anyone know the last time Caviar was canned? A friend just gave me a can, but it has no date on it. I’m obviously going to drink it - and enjoy - but want to have a sense of how to judge it.

 

Last release was Dec. 21, 2017

 

Very interested in Interlace. Gonna definitelt grab some.

 

It's pretty interesting that I haven't seen any Finback cans here in South Jersey (~90 miles from Finback) but whenever I'm back home in Massachusetts (~215 miles from Finback) I can get their stuff pretty regularly (though to be honest, most of the beers I've had from Finback don't hold a candle to most of the local stuff up that way...go figure).

It's also kinda interesting they would focus on a market (MA) that is already flooded with craft over growing market that is just now starting to become overcrowded (NJ). Regardless, it would be nice to see them down here someday. Cheers

 

Had Split The Night at M&H this afternoon. Was pretty disappointing, unfortunately.

 

I have been very disappointed in their ipa's too. They pretty much are all just run of the mill. Now their stouts on the other hand have been excellent.

 

Are cans fairly easy to locate in the beer shops in NYC ?
I would like to pick up a few cans when I'm over in a few months, but don't think I'll have time to visit them. Cheers

 

Collab with Commonwealth Brewing Co. in Virginia Beach being released today @ Commonwealth Brewery..maybe Finback gets a few kegs?

 

and a 3 can release this weekend...
