Finback Brewery (2018)

Anyone try Heinous? I want to pick some up if it sticks around until I can get out there.

That and they are open Thanksgiving day. Doing the Lord’s Work.

 

Heinous is very tasty. Straight choc/hazelnut shake. Very sweet but finish is just dry enough for me to enjoy a full pour. The 12% is basically undetectable, no burn.

 

Did bottles sell out?

Not sure. I left there around 4pm yesterday and there seemed to be a good amount left. The bourbon version is absolutely stellar. I’m not as high on the AB version but I think it will develop nicely with some time.

The grapefruit crush was also really good. Not as good as orange crush but that beer is hard to beat.

 

I may try to drop in today. Thanks for the intel. AB BQE was always one of my faves.

 

Yea mine too which is why I was surprised I didnt enjoy the AB fire dance more. I’ll open a bottle next weekend and revisit.

 

Bit late on the game here. Does Finback still have Heinous? If not, anyone have an extra?

 

They had cans while I was there on Saturday.

 

finbacks fruited IPA's are on another level.

 

I heard two employees talking about this beer last weekend and how amazing the watermelon finish was. Gonna have to grab some.

They put on a keg of visible spectrum right as I was leaving last weekend so I decided to stay for another pour. Such a fantastic beer.

they sound good. do these usually hang around at all?

 

The two barrel-agee beers they released 2 weeks ago lasted into the second day. This might be the case with BQE as well, but I don’t know what quantities they produced.

 

I believe BQE has sold out day of every time..probably the most well known stout produced in NYC..neckbeards are usually in full force
