Glad they're doing a vanilla variant! I'm still amazed that they have older bottles left for verticals each year.

I wish those box sets were a better value, because I would pay that to ensure I get bottles while avoiding the lines or missing out entirely.

On the flipside, I've found that they usually have these beers on tap at the brewery and kegs make it around town, so no need for the FOMO.

Yea I go every year and the line is usually really long with people from all over. I dont think it has ever lasted past 5pm on the day of the release.

Has anyone seen heinous cans around the city? I always get frustrated that their best stuff makes it to Massachusetts before being distro’d here.

Finback was one of the standouts at LA Extreme beer fest a couple years ago, BQE in particular. I feel pretty lucky to be in NY for this release, even switched my holiday flight back a day to make the pickup window. Truly hoping I'm able to score the verticle box. In my 6 months here, I'd confidently put Finback alongside OH and Grimm in my top 3 NYC breweries. And I haven't even had but one of their BA beers since I've been here.

Saw it on tap in a couple of places. Cans are still available at the brewery.

As someone who has been to every BQE release it sucks that it went up $4 per bottle, I could understand a small price increase but a 25% increase is pretty ridiculous.

Gotta pay for that Brooklyn location somehow...

I think with all of the other breweries around now releasing BA adjunct beers etc. at higher prices, they figured there's no reason they couldn't.

Pretty sure Finback is in Queens..... We can all thank Other Half for the increase in BQE price.

Looks like they're opening one in Brooklyn sometime in the future. At least there's an instagram account now

Anyone have a recommendation on a good local pizza place to order and enjoy at finback? Thanks

Where are you coming from? I would highly, highly suggest New Park in Howard Beach if you are coming from the south and/or have the time to stop out of your way. They are straight down Woodhaven Blvd/Cross Bay Blvd from finback (about 15 mins). Unfortunately I do not believe they deliver (I would check though).

Grace Pizza on 70-05 Myrtle Ave is not too far. Or if you are getting it delivered there I’m sure the bartender can recommend something else that’s just as good.

Coming in from NJ, will be looking into them and see if they have take out at least. Bringing the wife along for this trip over and she wants to bring the dog for his first brewery visit :flushed: So will need take out or delivery to be an option.. you know how women and their pets are!

Pizza Classica is pretty good (especially their upside down Sicilian) and close by. Pretty sure they deliver to brewery but it’s a very busy place long delivery times so may be better to call it in and pick up yourself on the way there.

They do take out. I always get a pie on my way home from Finback. Some of the best pizza in the 5 boroughs.
