Finback Brewery (2020)

Taproom is still under construction... I grabbed a 4 pack of kolsh, had to grab a not-IPA for friend, it was very good. Looks to be a cool hang once things go back to normal.

Having a friend who lives near the BK location pick me up some to ship today!!!!!! So pumped. So goddamn pumped.

 

How has the quality been recently from Finback? I somewhat frequently have OH shipped to me and I still enjoy it. But is it worth starting to get some Finback? Any other good places in the area for hops?

 

Since they opened their taproom in BK for to-go sales I've had quite a few of their IPA's after an extended period without having any from them, and they're all pretty great. Generally I think the quality is on par with OH or better, depending on your palate and preferences. One area I think Finback consistently excels is coaxing wildly different flavors from their hop/hop combos.

 

Quality has been great, if you are fan of more dank flavor profiles get one of their 8%ers thrown in your care package.

By area do you mean Finback BK or Finback Queens? If BK, then Other Half and Threes. If Queens, then Evil Twin, and at that point you're on your way to KCBC, Interboro, and Grimm.

 

It wasn't going to take much convincing. I'll try out their next release that sounds good. Thanks!

 

2 bangers they've got up there right now are Among the Bandits and Sea Foam.

Edit: All their stuff still sees somewhat limited distro too. It's not just Finback IPA that gets out there.

Aren't all finbacks cans from Queens, guessing if his buddy is getting OH, he'll swing by FB-BK. FB-BK is awesome for us OH locals, the QNs location was too much of a trip.

picked up a 4 of social fabric last night but didn't realize it was canned over a month ago til I got home. no matter... tasted incredible.

 

I have one more can left of this, prob crack it tonight. Sea Foam is really great right now as well, I almost drink my whole 4 pack this weekend

I did the same. Only bought the 4 pack as a consolation prize because they sold out of smooth beats. But glad I did. It was a lot more drinkable than I expected for the abv.

 

I had Grape Conversate PTSD, but decided to grab a 4pk of Grape Crush today anyway. This beer is very well executed.

 

Sat on a couple of Brainalyzer cans given, as much as I like some hop burn, I felt it was too green straight out the gates leaving a bitter/vegetal aftertaste.

It has rounded out a good bit more now and is tasting tremendous. Just behind Whale Watching as my favorite Finback offering.
