Finback Brewery (2020)

They have never been the most of top of their social media. Might have to roll the dice.

 

They only seem to update what’s available once or twice a week on instagram.

 

Their beers last 2-3 weeks so you should be good.

 

Breathing conversation is another winner. Great beer for a great cause

 

So, I just grabbed a “Breathing :Conversations” and thought it was really good. Haven’t had too many Finbacks of late. Where does this fit in?

 

Anyone try the new one on their website High Tops?

 

I had one Sat after I grabbed it. I had drank a bit before I cracked that one but I thought it was great and the best of what I have gotten from them recently. I will double back and see how I feel drinking one without having a few prior.

 

Moss is dank... Should have a purple color scheme bc straight cash homie!

 

@Coldbeernicus I had High Top last week, bit of burn. Drinking again tonight and quite tasty!

 

Yeah I enjoyed it too. Also really like Breathing Conversations. Would give it the slight edge

 

Has anyone been to the outdoor seating in BK? Are they doing drafts or just selling single cans? How much seating is there?

I can't seem to find any information.

They had a jockey box and were doing to do pours even before they set up seating, I didn't pay close attention the last times I grabbed beer but I think they are doing single cans and limited pours as well, but don't hold me to that

 

The couple times I've gone they've had 2 beers on tap in addition to all their cans available as singles to consume on site. They also have gin drinks now from the on-site distillery.

 

Oscilation 021 still tasting amazing

 

Not as high on 021 as you are, 020 was amazing though. Double Mosaic Something is excellent, Finback knows Mosaic.

 

I'm with you 100%, this is a great beer. It's got some pine and grapefruit. It's like old IPA taste in new ipa style. The most similar beer I can think of is OH's Always and Forever and I haven't seen that in a while!

I'm really happy with this and will be tracking down more.

 

I’ve noticed a trend with a lot of finback’s IPAs. Bottom of the can brings out more of an abrasive flavor than the first half. Brainalyzer, Breathing, the 6yr anni... yet not in the oscillations or the sours I’ve tried. Anyone else experiencing this? It’s not bad enough to keep me away, but it’s sometimes a little off-putting.

 

I got that with some of their beers. Definitely 6th anni. However didn’t get that from Breathing or Moss

 

Hmm I have a glass I use that fits the full can but I may test this out tonight with breathing.

 

My Breathing last night had a lot of hop sludge at the bottom.
