Hi all, I'm going to be in Romania for a couple of weeks starting next Friday, and was wondering - is there any distro of Cantillon or 3F or (god help me) Westy anywhere in the country, or really, any decent European beers that don't make it to the States? My wife is Romanian, but when we've gone before the only beers on tap seemed to be American lagers, Leffe and Ursus.

I'll be in Bucharest most of the trip, but will also be going to the Danube Delta for a few days.

    Thanks.

    I would guess: No.
But to make sure, ask Ciocanelu. He is a great guy, I traded many times with him and he knows the Romanian beer-scene very well.

Well, two weeks in Romania, and there's not a lot there. A tiny bit of Cantillon and 3F makes it in, but all seems to go to online-ordering shops.

I did find some nice Romanian beers - Ground Zero makes some nice stuff, as does Perfektum. Almost everything available outside of the extremely rare specialty shop, though, is Heineken with a different name.
