I'm trying to find online stores that sell extracted hop resin, and all I've found so far is HopShot at Northern Brewer (http://www.northernbrewer.com/shop/hopshot.html) and another product with a foul name at Brew Brothers (http://www.brewbrothers.biz/Hop-JuiceTM). Are there other options at the homebrew scale? I'm looking to introduce 90- and 60-minute IBUs without the pellet foliage.
Here is an option from morebeer. http://morebeer.com/view_product/7835//IsoHop_Bitterness_Extract_1_oz
I really like the hotshot from northern brewer. I think they package it themselves in those syringes when they get a bulk shipment of extract in. They don't always have it. You have to check the website frequently.
Just ordered some from nb the other day, never used them before but need to get a 90min bittering with a 60 min boil and my kettle is at it's limit with the volume of wort.
Use a higher Alpha Acid bittering hop? The difference in utilization between 60 and 90 minutes is only about 10% or so. At least according to Tinseth formulas, which I find to be about right subjectively.
