    Hey guys,

I live in Phoenix and I'll be heading into SD and LA this weekend (after stopping at Alpine, of course) and wanted to know where I'll have the best luck finding some Russian River in Southern California. I know RR has a list of stores that carry their brew but I don't feel like driving all over Southern California and making a hundred phone calls. Is it common/easy to find fresh RR in SoCal? Also, opinion on great bottle shops?

Thanks so much in advance and sorry if this thread is common!

If by "fresh RR" you mean Blind Pig and Pliny, don't count on it. I've heard shipments have stopped during Younger season.

    Yes.
A little disappointing but maybe the news will be false. We didn't expect BA Bigfoot until the end of February ("according to SN rep") but came weeks earlier than anticipated; I'm not counting on this to be the case though.

    Thanks for the info!

They're hard to find on a good day. Usually they're hiding in the back with a 1-2 bottle limit and PtE will be gone the day it comes in. Blind Pig lasts a little longer. You might be able to find a bottle if you ask around. Good luck.

you can find russian river beers easiler in so cal.... just not so easy to find Pliny or blind pig. If you want some of the other options, most legit bottle shops will have them. If you like damnation you can find it almost anywhere I have been.

Ok, thanks. Wasn't expecting to find any but hoping it would still be possible to stumble upon some in bottle or even draft.

Both Beachwood locations have PtE on draft right now. I'd pick LB since they also have Hop Ninja.

You can often find PtE of draft around town - try the usual O'brien's, Hamilton's, and the new Fathom Bistro has a long relationship with RR... had it on draft last I checked.

I've seen it quite often at Toronado, too (though I suspect it is part of what you call the usual places).

If your in LA, Father's Office usually has RR on tap - I've seen Pliny there many times. Library Alehouse also has RR (not as consistently as Father's Office) - was there 2 weeks ago and think I saw Blind Pig on tap.

I've bought Pliny at Ramirez Liquors before, and I know the Beverage Warehouse had Pliny 2 weeks ago but they probably ran out.

    cheers
