Are we getting Easy Jack? For that matter it seems like the distributors are dropping the ball. I can't remember the last time I saw a somewhat fresh bottle of anything FS...

Not sure where you are, but the only place I have gotten decent dated firestone is gourmet liquor in Galloway (off route 9, near AC). They usually have double jack with the occasional rare find here and there.

It seems like it takes at least 2 months for any release to make it out this way. For the big beers like Sucaba and Parabola, it doesn't really impact the quality. However, I can't justify paying anything for 3 month old Union, Double or Wookey Jack.

Agreed. It's a real problem. The only time I get the FW IPAs is if i can find them on tap in Philly.

Stone can get here in days. FS should take notes. Either that or the Bud houses are screwing it up royally

It's a symptom of the distributor in my area, not naming names, but they are the cause of delays and communication issues in my area.

I was told it came and went at Shop Rite in Caldwell this last week. Same shipment as Opal.

And speaking of Opal, I'm drinking one right now that's actually LESS than a month old. Albeit only one day less than a month, but still. Couldn't believe it. IPA's are impossible to find fresh. I'm honestly tired of even talking about it at this point. It is what it is. We should all start reporting outdated beer to Firestone.

No, I don't think so. We see very little of the FW portfolio. Seems to be just the Jacks - Wookey, Union, and Double. Damn. Is that it? I can't think of anything else we see regularly...

I got a bottle last Monday at the ShopRite in Little Falls. It was the last one they had. They sold out of their case in less than a day. I keep checking other ShopRites near me, but they haven't seen it yet.

North Jersey got it last week, maybe south jersey will see it this week.

@ryanflc, funny you said that. I grabbed on last Wednesday at the same place and was told it was the last one. I believe they got only a case.

Same experience, saw double jack for the first time in months last week and it was already 3 months old. Clearly not in FW best interests or the consumers, they need to change their NJ distributors.

Just about every beer buyer from every store in NJ HATES the distribution for Firestone Walker here. Getting year old cases of the Reserve porter, four month old bottles of Double Jack, it's pretty awful.

They have to get away from them.

And yes I will name names.

    **** High Grade.

Those liers! They definitely stressed to me that I got the last one.

I know they updated their BeerMenu on Sunday evening indicating they had it in stock. I picked up my bottle Monday around 11:00am. If you got one on Wednesday, it at least lasted a few days. Maybe they still have more?

Looks like the Monkee is making its way into Morris Co now. Just grabbed the last bottle at the Liquor Factory in Jefferson/Lake Hopatcong/whatever town that is.

They also had a crazy fresh batch of Double Jack. Only 3 months old! Bottled 4/21/14!

3 months is virtually right out the tank for our area!

Probably be down my way next week or the week after then, I'll have to keep my eyes open and report on any sightings. I was able to snag a bottle when I was in NYC a few weeks ago but having a second one to age would be cool.

Lake Hopatcong is part of Jefferson township by the way. Also remember that just because they say it's the last bottle doesn't mean it actually is (see conversation above). That being said, I stopped by that Liquor Factory yesterday and they were sold out.

Yeah I believed the guy. It took him about 7 minutes to figure out what I was looking for and find it, so I figured he had no reason to lie about a beer that he knew nothing about haha. But thanks for clearing up the towns for me.
