Best thing is to find some people and get a house..

When people get houses and AirBnBs and stuff, how close are they? Usually within walking distance? Part of the reason why I always book at Adelaide is because of how close it is (and the shares) but I wouldn't be against looking into a house for next year if they are close.

Houses are usually 10 mins away.. depends on the size you want...

This is where I reserved my room many months ago. All I want is something with a roof over my head and allow me to go completely horizontal after the fest + share. It was cheap and there is some food nearby too which will likely see my business a few times.

Uber/Lyft exist in the area, but if your group is big enough it makes sense to just rent a shuttle to/from.

Stumbling to that McDonalds by Motel 6 right before closing time on Saturday and stuffing my face with a Big Mac combo meal will be one of my lowest points in life. Also they have a Casino located next to Motel 6.

Has anyone ever actually been in that casino? It looks really sad from the outside.

Yeah, I figured that much but I also imagine it's pretty impossible to get a ride from one of those immediately after the event. I'll keep it in mind for next year.

Sure, but you can wander over to one of the bottle shares, or downtown to a bar/restaurant/central park and wait for the demand to die down.

Do people just give up on trying to find tickets if they strike out today? There's always people who can't end up going. The last two years, I've ended up with an extra each year and I've sold them to folks on here.

Yea... you can't trade tickets like that on this site.

I like the idea of renting a house. But then I think I'd miss out on meeting people in and around that cluster of hotels. That's as much fun as the festival for me.

Honestly, in my group alone last year there was three people that flaked out and last minute ticket sales had to happen. One person even drove up the morning of the event from L.A. because someone flaked out on the extra ticket.

It may be a situation of supply is far less than demand now. But as time goes on and life happens, tickets will become available.

I have no clue why folks are even bothering to try for tickets today since who is buying extra tickets for the sole purpose of gaining beer profits on it and not just wishfully thinking a friend of theirs can go or whatever.

Ended up having to settle for a house that is about 0.7 miles from the festival. Guess that means I have a good 1.2 mile walk to make it to any bottle shares. Oh well, maybe the food options will be a bit better in the downtown area.

I don't know why I always wait to have tickets to book a room lol
