Anyone been here since they opened? It says they have 60 beers on tap, but wanted to know what those taps are putting out.

No kidding on the "kinda meh".... Just when I thought there might be a chance downtown Sacramento got a killer place to get some beers. Looks like I'll be sticking to drives to Davis, Folsom and Roseville to get anything unique. There is that one place in Sacramento, but we all know to avoid that one.

i actually stopped by this place on a whim while being in dt sac with in laws...i really enjoyed it. as someone from nebraska i was excited to be able to drink stuff like union jack and bruery mischief on tap, but there was nothing special there for sure, beer-wise...however i thought the food and service were both great, i could not believe it had only been open for a week. a little on the pricey side, but if you are looking for more of a nice place to eat with a decent beer selection...definitely worth checking out. it was prob my fave overall stop in the area other than the davis beer shoppe, which was just f'ing awesome.

If I wanted to go somewhere with a meh tap list I'll go to the Yard House because although it's overall meh and kinda pricey they do rotate some good stuff in. and it's closer to me than downtown Sac. I still need to check out boneshakers but when you sleep during the day it kinda makes you seem like an alcoholic when you go out drinking with your friends that are awake during the day.

Yeah but boneshakers is awesome. Must stop place when I am passing through Rocklin. Also, Owl Club is really good too. As for the place to avoid, they've recently dropped prices on the bottles and have added staff to make the service faster.

FPH is owned by De Vere's. I don't go to De Vere's because they charge too much. I have a gut feeling it's the same at FPH.

Kind of a funny list, too. Like, rather than (I assume) Bocks it says "Socks." Then again, Dead Guy does kind of taste like socks.

But yeah, a disappointing list. With maybe 3-4 exceptions, these are all beers I wouldn't be surprised to see at any run of the mill bar around midtown, and I expect more from a place that's making a big deal out of having 60 taps. Just way too much AmBev crap.

That's because most of the distributors here in Sacramento get on their knees for the 'big 3' and make everyone in town carry all their crap. You go to places in San Francisco and San Diego and you can find tons of places that refuse to carry the big 3, and those businesses do great. There is way to much of "I'll get you a special keg of Brand X, but you have to carry 2 items of Brand Y to get it". Its just dumb.
