Whole Foods and Total Wine always carry, when it comes out

 

Bevmo has a lot of choices as well. Last weekend I saw they had Prairie Bomb! I couldn't help but snag one.

 

I know Roseville is a drive but the Whole Foods (or just WF as you may see here on BA) usually has a great selection.

 

Merkin should hit soon but Parabola is going to be tough as stores in the NoCal area sold out fairly quickly and months ago. I have seen FiftyFifty - Eclipse variants sitting on shelves so you may have luck if looking for localish BA stouts (though $30/bottle).

For "localish" non-BA stouts I would say: Sierra Nevada - Narwhal; Bear Republic - Big Bear Black Stout; Drakes - Drakonic; Hop Dogma - Fides of Fermento (not sure the reach of their distro). Also, Green Flash - Double Stout is a solid non-BA heavy stout that should hit shelves, though not "local."

If you want to open it up to growler fills then this list could get a lot longer. Cheers!

 

Parabola's time is around March/April/May. Basically after that, you're looking at the very rare sighting on the shelf of a slow moving shop. But yeah, parabola is their fastest boxed seller. So keep on the look out during that season.

Velvet Merkin should be hitting the area shops any day/week now. It's basically a solo dome Parabola. So should scratch that itch.
