    Gents,

I have a 1/6th keg of Firestone Union Jack IPA. At 40 deg and 12lbs of CO2 the beer fills the pint half way with foam. Lines are clean and keg is tapped properly. What am I doing wrong?

To properly balance the beer you need to know the volumes of CO2 (v/v) for the beer and use a Zahm Nagle chart to set the proper pressure. Google that name and you will get the chart. I usually get the v/v by sending the brewery an email. Make sure the temperature you are taking is from the second beer pulled immediately after the first, poured into the same glass. This ensures you are getting a true beer temperature from the keg, and not getting an average of the temps in the line, tower and keg.
