Just wait until you are trying go east from the west side on a Friday when Obama decides to make his way anywhere in LA. Anyway, just a heads up for those not located already near HPB.

I'm hoping he sticks west of the 405, then everything will be fine.

Official soft opening with limited hours. It's basically the same as today and the previous days minus yesterday and Sunday's friends/family/other brewers events. But only it's more announced. Was able to get a reservation for around 9:30 dinner myself for tomorrow. Gonna birthday it up there. wooooooo

Stopped by earlier tonight as well. Great spot with a good atmosphere. Lots of big screens with games on up on the walls. Pretty festive environment that is sure to be a big draw with beer geeks and non beer geeks alike. The "Barrelworks lounge" is just a first come first serve seating area that's kind of overflow from the main bar. No actual taps there, but waitresses were coming by to take orders so you didn't have to keep running back to the bar yourself.

Got there at like 6:30PM and went straight to the store to grab bottles, only to see that the store is only open til 6PM. Not a big deal - and I'm sure those details were probably somewhere online ahead of time - but will definitely plan for that in the future if I'm making a trip over straight from work.

Lots of parking in the lot, although it was crowded and full when I got there. Luckily, street parking was easy on one of the side streets. Free parking after 6PM.

yeah until lunch service starts, the only hour of overlap where both the prop and store are open will be from 5-6 PM.

they WILL be pouring beers in the store though, so technically you could go over there and get some beers for drinking there as well as togo at like 3-4 PM, then walk into the prop at 5 and get food/beers over there.
