Yeah. I get that. My sentiments come from being someone with no kids and really no desire to have kids. I don't get annoyed by crying babies or anything. It felt like it happened overnight at GR, one weekend to the next it was like they were taking birthday party reservations. I like being able to talk like a sailor without worrying about offending some random family 10 feet away.

We know it isn't dog friendly, but is FWV kid friendly? I'm assuming no at the bar, but what about at tables?

I'm sure they allow kids in no bar areas. Mine sat at the main bar in Buellton with us just last weekend. I'm more concerned with how busy they're going to be on the weekends when we can go.... we didn't like or want kids either.. until we did... and then it became necessary to try and integrate him into our life and let him ruin it... Yea nobody likes crying kids, if mine ever acts up I take him outside. GR was showing signs of what you are describing before we stopped going.

My concern (also kidless here) would be tripping over them if they ever decided to go explore. While I am not a big guy, falling on them will still hurt us both, glass would likely shatter and then who knows what. When the parents are being parents then that is perfectly fine. When the parents are wannabe spoiled millennials that complain that they can't change their kid on the table inside a tasting room (yes this did happen) then I start to have issues.

Yes, children are welcome in the main dining area and Barrelworks lounge area, just not able to sit at the bar (for obvious reasons).

Why don't we stop the kids/no kids discussion before this gets shut down. Clearly those without kids (and say they dont want em) can't see it any other way, and that's fine. But for those of us who do have them, know what's it like to be in a kidless persons shoes so there's no point in arguing.
I appreciate the ability to take my kids with me to various breweries, though I haven't been to GR in many years. I just make sure they don't act like assholes. It's not easy sometimes, but I definitely don't need someone without kids to roll their eyes at me when I walk in with them. It ain't cool.

i like how you say there's no reason to argue and then continue the argument. the same way you appreciate the ability to take your kids to breweries, some appreciate not having a tasting room become a playground

personally i have nothing against kids as long as the parents are actually making an effort to.. parent. and not just letting their kids run amok

Agreed, one time I was at Naja's by the side bar area and some parents had their kids there with them. These kids were very well behaved and playing on their ipads or whatever but they even asked if their kids were in the way or disturbing me in any way which wasn't the case. I guess just don't have your kids acting like little assholes which adults can be as well.

    ... Back on topic.

It sounds like they were open for lunch on Saturday last weekend. Were that also open on Sunday? Is that a slow ramp up to daily lunch offerings?

I've been quick to utilize the unfollow recently. I thought I pretty smoothly shifted back to FWV talk from my GR rant hehe.

It was more of a suggestion of stopping it, not quite sure how else I can voice my opinion without it being taken as such, but I can see where you feel it perpetuated the argument.

    Appreciate the feedback.

I dropped by the brewery store last Sunday around lunchtime and the restaurant looked very much open and packed. Bike racks were totally full.

They are able to sit at the bar at main FW facility but not Barrelworks. Probably because they serve food there.

Sorry to throw the PJ back into conversation, but the cashier believed that they were almost out and that it was their last shipment. She could be wrong, but get 'em while they're hot (or cold)!

Anybody open up PJ lately? Im hoping to hear that the coffee is still present. Also, how fresh are the hoppy beers at this place? Hoping to swing by for double jack bottles.
