Wasn't in the least bit hot. Very smooth even as it warmed up.

I agree. On the other hand, I found it...unexciting. Nice mouth feel, pleasant taste, but no wow. Instead of the blend being synergistic or even additive, I thought a lot was lost in the mix. I prefer any of the constituent beers.

Depends on if the parking stall lines are at an angle or not. If they are at an angle, then backing into a parking spot is considered going against the flow of traffic. If the lines are straight (meaning you could turn your vehicle into the stall just as easy coming from one way as you could the other way), then it is not illegal to back into the stall. I think.

I also did not find this one to be very hot. Had a bottle of it last night, and it is drinking amazingly. Very tasty stuff and highly drinkable. Like this one better fresh than the last two years.

Any sightings of bottles in San Fran or Marin County? It's on my "to-do" list since 9ers aren't on until tomorrow.

I can't speak for the Marin stores, but there's several cases at the Whole Foods on California St in SF.

Have to say, it was great going up to the release party this year, grabbing my annual 12 bottles, and not having to run from shop to shop trying to pick up that many. That led to this exact same conversation at two shops this past weekend...

Beer manager - "Hey, we got 2 cases of XVI in this week. We're not putting it out, but if you want one, I'll go grab it for you."

Me - "I really appreciate it, but I actually have 2 cases at home already."

    Beer manager - frowny face.

Hate to admit it, but I think I agree. A good beer still, but much more one-dimensional than I thought it would be.

I got it at total wine in rancho cuc for 19.99. I think they sold out of it though. They had 25 cases last Friday and were down to 3 on Wednesday.

Was able to grab 1 in Livermore. Still had 3.5 cases plus 2 bottles on the shelf this morning. I'm trying to ration my beer money and the Abyss is releasing so I only grabbed 1 of these. If there's still some when I get paid next week Imma grab 2 more

I'm a FW fanboy and well, the 16th is no 14th. I am going to save one for a couple of months and see if it grows on me but looking at the list of beers in it, not holding my breath.

Just had a 13th anniversary at the FW restaurant yesterday and it was great. Too bad they keep reducing the amount of Parabola in it every year. The 16th just isnt sweet enough. Doesn't stand a chance against north coast old stock reserve.

Yes, I will give it another chance.

Found some today at the Roseville Costco for 16.99! When I left there looked to be about 12 left. I imagine they will be gone tomorrow.

You took the words out of my mouth! 14 was fantastic, 15 was a dog. 16's good, but no 14. How about a Double DBA/Parabola blend?? Oh baby!
