I'm seeing FW 17 popping up in other regions across the country - has this hit Seattle yet? If the allocation is anything like Velvet Merkin, I'm going to assume it would hit all over and hang around for a while.

I haven't seen it. 16 didn't show up until December last year if I remember correctly. Seems to hang around for awhile most places).

I remember this because brouwers firestone walker ugly sweater party was Black Friday last year and there was still no 16 to be had.

For what it's worth, that was a recurring theme last year as well. I was told "next week" about once a week for the entire month of November.

Allocation is probably only part of the equation. The FW anniversary beers are typically ~50% more expensive than their other boxed offerings. I'm just hoping we don't see an increase beyond that. This fall has been particularly rough on draheim's wallet, and B-Bomb hasn't even been released yet.

The BevMo in Silverdale still has last years on the shelf. I'm hoping they mark it down when 17 comes in.

Folks at Bottleworks told me the 28th which seems unlikely being Thanksgiving, but seems to confirm the general idea of "next week." It's already on shelves in Oregon from what I've heard.

I'm inclined to pass on that one. Been a very expensive Fall and I'm getting burned out. And as Dan pointed out, B-Bomb hasn't even been released yet. Saving my final push of the year for that.
Then, my annual rush to SFO in February - never ends.

Anyone know a good bottle shop north of Seattle, actually say north of Everett where I might seek it out? I'd love to go to 99 Bottles but it's a bit of a drive for me. Thanks!

Try Norm's Market in Lake Stevens. Give them a call. Pretty good selection.

Should be hitting north end shops this week (different distributor for Seattle versus south Puget Sound). We should be getting in on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Norms is excellent selection but pricey. Expect to pay a little more.

Just saw that.... 6 bottles at $22.99. Store manager said that 17 should hit before December.

No doubt. I'd have cleared the shelf @ that price.
