    Question:

Will be at Barrelworks on the 19th of Sept. I obviously won't be attending the event, but can I still reserve bottles and pickup when I'm there?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but never been through their bottle release process.

No. You have to pick them up the day of the release.

Getting my wife to buy her own ticket will be difficult. I'm wondering if there will be enough time for me to buy twice and get hers the second time. Don't recall how quick the last tickets went.

Bretta Rose tickets went very swiftly. Sold out within a few minutes. I need my BW partners there or you and I will be riding over together! :grinning:

We were planning on spending the weekend over there along with my brother and his wife. I hope they change their mind about doing it this way.

On the off chance FW reps are reading this thread I'd like to share the sentiment...reducicing the ticket limit to 1/purchase is annoying. I'm really not trying to go to this release by myself. If the limit was bumped up to 2/purchase would make the difference to a large fraction of their fans.

It also doesn't prevent mules or even reselling of bottles. If someone is going to sell their bottles for the top dollar, this only makes it appear harder to get in appearance alone and allows those beer flippers to charge more for the 6 bottles they did end up getting.

A better system was already in place with the "You need a person there to pick up that second order". Since it had the loop of making them come with mules. This just makes their mules buy their own ticket when the event goes live.

I agree with the solo statement. I don't really want to drive the drive by myself, also, in the past, and I mean EVERY past Liberation releases as I have gone to all of them so far, I have always bought two tickets because of the potential of driving alone just seems too boring and risky (after having consumed all those endless pours of tasters). So at the very least a DD option should be in place.

I don't mind it's 6 of each bottles max, but limiting the ticket purchase availability to 1 seems short sighted.

Totally agree with that. Why not just add a $10 or $20 DD ticket? I could understand that if the event is in SD, OC or LA, but since it's in Buelton, I think it's safe to say that 95% people are drive fairly long distances for each of those liberations. It seems that FW is making it harder for us, than for the resellers, since they will have enough time to organize extra people to purchase tickets anyway...
@jemwilson maybe you could help clarify how it will work from now on?

I'd even be happy with a ticket that's slightly more expensive, but gets 6 bottles max of each and two people in the door instead of the 6 bottle/one person ticket. Don't particularly want more bottles, just want to make sure I can go with the girlfriend =/.

Jeffers was talking about the soft release a couple of liberations back. That they didn't want to do anything big for these since they're going to be huge bottle counts for them and were hoping to see some distribution. be it very very limited footprint.

Company becomes worth lots of money then sells it for lots of money...makes sense to me.

Beating around the bush to announce what actually happened...lame.

Just for the record (because I'm too lazy to search), are you among the people claiming that there is little to no difference? But yeah, that was what I was referencing. LOL
