Something more along those lines. I was actually thinking InBev so glad to be wrong

Doesn't seem like it changed anything in the world of Ommegang. So I mean, as long as Paso, Buellton and soon to be Venice are all in their own world without any change other than a parent family owned company to write the checks, I don't see this as a big deal.

But come on, that GF Nelson is just not the same.

Both a family owned operations and to me this sounds more like a cash influx and partnership, but we will see what happens.

Looks like things are a go for Friday in terms of tickets for the next liberation.

Damn, still that 1 ticket per purchase thing too. Was hoping they would rework that. Ah well.

yeah. damns. :slight_frown: Well, let's see if it's an instant sell out again. I'm guessing that this isn't going to prevent the mule situation any more.

I really don't get the whole purpose of selling the 3/6 of each package and for those who go for the 3, get the option to complete the six. Just seems like... okay, I guess they're shooting for those who want between 4 and 5 of the beers but not the 6th? I dunno.

I want 3 Krieky Bones and 6 Zinskins, so works great for me… would much rather pay $150 for exactly what I want than $200 for 3 bottles I’m not desperate for.

See, the better solution in that instance is to sell me those 3 unwanted Krieky Bones...

And this is how people will still be getting around that 6 max of each bottle limit.

The 3/3 limit is also nice for people that want to taste before they decide to commit to 6/6.

But how are you to decide if you want more bottles if you can't open your bottles at the event?

ALL IN, BABY! Always better out of the bottle.

Damn, I want some of each so bad, but unless I can get the gf to get her ticket too, I'm not going anywhere =\

I wonder if this will effect tickets sales in an opposite way. Making it that you have to roll solo (or have your SO/Friends buy their own tickets) would possible stop folks from wanting to come to 3 hour free flowing beer celebration unless their DD is just going to chill in Solvang for the time being.

Could this mean tickets don't sell out in 20 seconds? Or who knows.

sort of off topic, but as for the DD thing, it seems like there would be a market for a shuttle type thing. surprised some of the tour companies don't offer treks to specific releases like this. could see people enjoying a bottle share on the way up, going to the event, then stopping at a place or two on the way back (including La Super Rica in Santa Barbara)

    just brainstorming here

Tomorrow is the day, so are we allowed to attempt two seperate transactions for a ticket with the same acct/credit card? If I don't score for both the Gf and I then I'm screwed =/

David () has a question for you about your event Krieky Bones & Zinskin Liberation.

Since it is listed as 1 ticket per purchase, would I be able to make 2 purchases on the same credit card or on 2 entirely different credit cards so that myself and my prettier half would be able to attend? Cheers, David

    Response:
Hi David, you may use your card to purchase your girlfriends ticket, however it will have to be a separate transaction and the ticket will need to have her name on it to be valid.

While the question about a single card wasn't really answered directly, her response makes it seem as it would be fine.

I think the major problem is that this does very little to prevent muling and makes it even more problematic to get two tickets for yourself and your potential DD or at least someone else to ride up and drink less. I'm sort of dreading it. I have been to every liberation so far and this one has me worried that I'll get shut out of it.

The more I think about this the more perturbed there aren't other options. The GF and I will be driving down from nor-cal. We both want to go to the event.

Option 1: one of us gets a ticket, the other doesn't.
Option 2: we both get tickets

the option that isn't available is admission to the liberation with out buying bottles. If one of us gets a ticket and the other doesn't, or one of us has a meeting at work that day and can't get on the internet, I'll be pissed. The other option is the DD ticket where you don't get bottles, don't drink, but still come in and eat food/drink water.

    Unless I'm missing something somewhere.
