the beertender at Barrelworks said they underestimated the demand at Venice...huh? lets see there are about 18 million people within 30 miles of Venice and about 8000 within 30 miles of Buellton? she also said they never sell everything at once and will always hold back some to sell throughout the year.

 

Given that Venice still has is two days later, I don't think they underestimated the demand at all.

 

I was at Paso Robles today around noon, and they still had many cases. I was told that Buellton also has a lot left, but Venice is almost out. It seems possible that they could send some cases down there, if they are so inclined.

 

My buddy just scored four Parabajavas in Venice just now, in case that's helpful info for anyone. The pic he sent is such a beautiful sight!

Any chance it lasts at Buellton til next week? Gonna be in the area and would love to get my hands on some without having to acquire some juicy NE hops to trade for it.

Yeah this took forever. Not sure how. Received a ticket around 10:00a, came back at 3:00p and waited an hour to get inside and check out. I feel like the process could be improved (especially since they do online sales for Barrelworks beers). In any case, not a shit show by any means, but it was kind of weird waiting that long to purchase bottles after already receiving a ticket.

 

Stopped by the Venice bottle shop on Monday. No line, no tickets, got my bottles, the entire transaction took about 5 minutes.

One of the advantages to being local.

 

At Paso? I would think so, unless they get a flood of people this week. Call ahead to make sure. If nothing else, you can try it on draft at the taproom.

 

as of tuesday venice was sold out... i didn't get any!!!

 

Fyi: Parabajava back in stock in Venice as of 12pm today. To clarify: they were entirely sold out of their allocation and had no plans of getting more. However, after seeing how quickly they sold through vs. what Barrelworks and Paso did, it was decided to send more to Venice since there's a heck of a lot more people in SoCal than on the Central Coast.
