    Had no idea some proceeds would go back into the community through Pioneer Day. Interesting.

    Looks like a nice festival at a nice venue, Honestly, I only posted this to try out the new format. I don't live anywhere close, but I have been to the location.

    I was considering going until my girlfriend pointed out that a nearby school's graduation is that weekend, and hotels are like $200 a night. It's a bit too far to drive there and back, so that means missing it. Oh well, plenty of other beer fests around.

    And now there are two threads on it here haha. I posted a thread about it in this forum hoping to get feedback from people attending and what not. I thought yours was good in news as it was a news article and it provided some info I wasn't aware of.

    Maybe we can get the bros. to merge the two threads so we can have one official event thread.
    Edit: I reported my thread and they took care of it real quick.

    Who has tickets? Where are you staying? People traveling from other states looking for in person trades?
    Anyone up for a possible bottle share Friday night?

    I'm attending with my wife, and about 6+ other BA's. Looking very forward to this event. FW mentioned via facebook they have some alloted rooms in Paso Robles at most of the local hotels for this event, so just mention that for those that might be booking hotels, and there is some sort of discount (not sure how much) there are also AAA discounts on rooms too. Were splitting the room costs, so that also helps.

    My wife and I will be there, splitting a room with baybassboy. We are planning on opening quite a few FW beer Friday night at the hotel and I realized there will probably be a lot of other BA's doing something similar.
    @Retsinis, you staying 1 night or 2?

    Two, but doing some wine tasting Friday Afternoon. I'm sure there will be some kind of bottle share after the festival. I've thought about the night before too, but then again, might want to spare my liver a bit too, considering the epic list of breweries that will be there.

    Great Bruce Campbell Avatar by the way. Shop smart, shop S Mart.

    That was my thought as well, I can't imagine being up for a few beers after the unlimited greatness that will surely ensue. Probably end up doing it medium Friday night, walk the tight rope to not have a hangover but get as close as possible.
    This is my boom stick.

    Really looking forward to this. The Travelodge rates do look pretty good. Guess I should think about booking a room soon, what with that graduation situation.

    We got our hotel rooms before we even bought our tickets. $95 a night at the Motel 6 about 5 minutes away. Firestone also stated on their Facebook page that they were reserving rooms at the nearby hotels for fest goers.
