I just found somebody that was willing to sell me some tickets, but I was hoping somebody with a real ticket could send me a pic so I know what I am getting is legit. Don't want to get ripped off since he is over charging already.

Anyone from the Sacramento area, who is going, interested in a carpool? I would help pay for gas and bring some great beer to share. Unfortunately, my car is having a few problems and most likely will not make it down to Paso. :slight_frown: If anyone is interested please message me.

They shouldn't be over charging. Firestone is definitely against that!

How big is it. I have a really small taster glass from them... maybe two oz....lets hope this is a little larger

If I had to guess, I would say it is probably the same as their 6oz snifter that they sell.

I have a huge favor to ask of you SoCal folk planning to head to the Firestone beerfest. I was hoping that someone can help me out with some Alpine beers that I'd like to include in a BIF box I will be sending out. Specifically, I am looking for Duet, Nelson, Pure Hoppiness, and/or Bad Boy to send out (though from what I can tell, I think Bad Boy is a very special sporadic draft-only offering). I can bring down some NorCal goodies (growlers from RR or Alpha session? or whatever I currently have or can get my hands on?) Essentially, I'll do whatever it takes.

Ideally, I'd like to do a swap at the beerfest if possible. If you'd be able to help me out with this request, please send me a message! Cheers, and can't wait for the event!

Are there any awesome bottle shops or good breweries in the Paso Robles area? If not what about in like a 30 mile radius?

Besides Firestone of course there is a Great local Beer Bar right around the corner from Firestone called Pour House. One of the best selection of bottles and Taps for this area. Also BevMo in Target center across Freeway from FW. Unfortunately we dont get alot of rare beers around here, No Bruery, RR, Alesmith or Alpine distributed...but you can find some liquor stores with the FW BA Beers like Parabola, Sucaba, etc. In SLO theres Creekside Brewing and Eureka Burger that are the 2 best beer options.

The BevMo in SLO is worth checking out if you're aleady there.

Bottle shops? No. Albertsons and Bevmo are your best bets. Breweries? Their are a few, but the quality is varying. Paso also Has Downtown Brew, a brewpub that usually has a few of their own beers on tap. San Luis Obispo has Einhorn, Tap it, SLO Brewing Company, and Central Coast Brewing. Santa Margarita has Dunbar Brewing (a hole in the wall , but worth it). Pismo Beach has Pismo Brewing Company. I don't think many/any of these breweries have distribution that reaches out of the county so it might be fun just to catch a beer that you can't find anywhere else.

Downtown Brew's beers are made by FW. Einhorn has no tap room. And if you think there aren't bottle shops around then you aren't really looking. Aside from the Albertsons (which has a nice selection for a grocery store) and BevMo there are these.

    bottle shops:
The Pour House (paso robles, selection is dwindling because of an impending relocation at the end of june, but worth looking at)
    15C (templeton)
Sidewalk Liquor and Deli (paso robles, so so selection)
    Stagecoach Liquor (atascadero)
    Spencers Market (atascadero)
Cork and Bottle (SLO and Morrow Bay) Also a few weeks back i got a couple FW14s at the one in Morrow Bay
    Sandys Liquor (SLO)

I'm sure there are more that I don't know about since I've only lived in the area a bit over a year.

I thought the Downtown Brew beers were contract beers and not actual FW beers, my bad. The Pour House is a bar that has bottles, and on the North County stuff you mentioned they all have the same or less choices than Albertson's, It is all the same distribution. Last Time I was in 15C I saw 9 month old bottles of Dechutes Hop in the Dark. I'm not too sure about the south county stuff, but I know Cork and Bottle is usually pretty solid.
