Heard it from a little birdie that can neither confirm or deny:

... we are expanding our distribution to Connecticut in 2016 so you will absolutely see our
beers on the shelves soon! Keep in mind that our vintage beers such as
Sucaba and Parabola are incredibly limited and may not make it into
distribution in the first year, but our core beers will be available ...

Bottle dates I saw were 5/3 which is promising. I was in a hurry so only grabbed another 4 of SN Hoptimum, which is also surprisingly less than a month old, but will be back for some FsW over the weekend.

I hate that place but that's pretty reasonable.

Kays wines in hartford county had 6pk pivo cans. 10.99. Great lawnmower beer. Tried the opal, that one not bad either. Glad the dates are fresh as mentioned early.. Hopefully stays that way

That's pricey for a lawnmower beer. I'll stick with 12 packs of SN Summer for just a little more. But it is hard to argue the quality of Pivo.

As far as the dates, yeah, that's all fine and dandy now (and I'll take advantage of it too), But let's see how the dates are looking in November when they've been here a while and 10 other new breweries have entered the state.

It's been said a couple times but don't expect to see any bottles of rare FW beers in CT for a while. However I did get to enjoy Parabola at The Engine Room in Mystic on Wednesday. So keep your eyes peeled for places getting the rare stuff on tap.

I heard from their Media & Marketing specialist last November:

Bought one of each: pivo, opal, Dbl Jack, Union Jack, and Distortion at liquor depot. Excited to drink them...

I had Union Jack, Easy Jack, Luponic Distortion, Pivo, and the barrel aged ale. All the IPAs were quite good. Pislners aren't really my thing as there are light in flavor, but it seemed decent for that style. The DBA beer was interesting, had a bit of a gingerbread aftertaste. At under $12 for a six pack it is certainly a welcome edition to CT for shelf beers.

Update: never had week old double JAck. It was incredible. Also, pivo was excellent as well. Excited to try distortion, Union Jack, and opal.

I am right on the NY line so it was always easy to get but it is nice to get some fresh Firestone Walker! I am glad they aren't piling this up like AleSmith and Ballast Point did. I'd rather have it run out and get fresh stuff than look at 9 month old FW.

Really happy with what we've been given in CT so far. Nothing rare but Firestone's standard lineup is so good I can't complain. Picked up Union Jack, Opal and Pivo so far. Have enjoyed the hell out of all three. My only wish for now is to get fresher bottle dates on their hoppy IPAs, which may come soon if we all do our part and drink what we have now. Get drinking CT!
