Firestone Walker DDBA in Denver

Just kidding. I bought 3 bottles. Going to try one tonight and go back tomorrow if I really like it.

We got our allocation in at Liquor Max, pretty awesome week for beer. Oud Floris, DDBA, Fresh Pliny. Next week we are getting Giradin back,and the soured version of SobreHumano.

 

I drank it last night at Falling Rock, David was there as well. They also had XV and cask DBA on. The CDBA was damn tasty, I really enjoyed it. The rest were what you'd expect from FW....excellently crafted big beers. Without getting into really special small releases and such, I think FW has the market on solid, large distribution big beers. Their anni beers, Parabola, SUCABA, double Jack, all great.

Mile High also has them on sale as of yesterday afternoon, but 1 bottle limit and a couple bucks more then I've heard about from other stores around town.

 

How much Giradin are you guys getting? I am looking to pick up a case somewhere if possible.

 

Parker payless haas it in as of last night as well. If the brewers keep this up I'll need a second job just for beer. Oud floris, ddba, angels share on top of the few odd bottles I know won't stick around long that I ran into all made for a pricey week.

 

Mr.B's has it as well. I too went home with 3x Oud Floris, 2x DDBA, Angel's Share, six-pack of St. Lupulin, six-pack of DFH Indian Brown... that's about my budget for the month. Good thing Pliny went fast or I would have gone home with 2 bottles of that too.

 

I had to leave back the four packs of sofie and matilda I have been wanting to try. At this rate with all the great releases I will be lucky to get them before summer ends.
