Opened a FW14 - 16 mini vert last weekend and I have to say the 15 surprised with the changes after just a year. The FW15 flavors have melded together and the toffee flavors coming out remind me of a BA old ale like BB4D. It was really delicious.

The FW14 was also great, with much more of a stout base it had more char character that many at the table really enjoyed.

The FW16 was very hot and honestly the tequila barrel flavors didn't really blend well with everything else. Curious to see where this goes after a few years.

    Cheers & Happy Holidays!

I opened a FW 14 on Saturday night and thought it was fantastic as well. I liked it fresh but found it a bit hot, and now think it's near perfect. Ton of caramel and roasted notes and no real heat at all.

Going to open a 15 and 16 side by side whenever 16 hits NYC. Excited to open the 15 now.

Had a XV last week and was impressed, tons of coconut and very smooth.

I opened a XV about a week or two ago and thought it was sort of muted compared to fresh. Different strokes and all that but I swear these anniversary beers do not improve with age.
