I can get Founders here in NY. However, Firestone Walker is something that is damn near impossible to come by. Has anyone had any sightings in the downstate and upstate area of NY?
We get Firestone Walker Upstate in Rochester. Right now at the shop I work at we have Double Jack, Wookey Jack, Walker's Reserve porter and Union Jack 6-packs. We've seen Parabola, Succuba, XV and DDBA as well as far as special releases go. Also, the restaurant I work for here in town is doing a FW beer brunch soon with a sixtel of DDBA as well as many other great FW beers. So in short it is around.
Thanks for the heads up. It appears that it's in short supply in the Albany area. Maybe I should check out Oliver's.
What is this Firestone brunch you speak of? Sounds like something that should be on my calendar? Time and place if you have it? Thanks
Albany has the Union Jack you speak of at Oliver's, Westmere Beverage & Glenville Beverage possibly more. Sometimes growler fills but usually bottles on the shelf. I must of missed the Parabola but Wookey, DDBA, 15 Anniversary, 6 packs of Jack should be available.
It's all over Westchester, Putnam & Dutchess. DeCicco's in Ardsley & Brewster come to mind first. Go to Beermenus.com and put Firestone walker in the search area. That will give you an idea where FW products can be found.
Hm, I've picked up all of my FW Reserve Series stuff all at Hoosick St. Beverage. Double DBA is still sitting on the shelves as of the weekend. And I know Sucaba and Parabola sat around for weeks. I've had good luck there. Unsubstantiated but I've heard the Brew Crew workers keep a lot of the good stuff for themselves and friends. Get to know one! All four of these were opened at camping after the Hill Farmstead Harvest Festival a couple of weeks ago, all from HooBev:
The Ruck in Troy is having Union Jack, Double Jack, Wookey Jack, Double DBA, and Walker Reserve on tap Fri. Oct. 5th. As a matter of fact enjoyed Wookey Jack there today.
