Firestone Walker Invitational 2017

I'm packing a large cooler this morning....kinda expecting two dozen bottles or so to be in it. Weeeeeee

 

Damn son. Guess I'll be filling my shipper then. Getting in some TG X-Hops Teal today so I'll be more then happy to share the love.

 

I get that this is just as much about the shares for some people but in the last three years, there's no way I've been in any sort of shape to drink more after the festival. At best, I was ready to drink like...a session IPA around 9PM. Ha.

 

Looking forward to heading up tomorrow. Met a ton of cool people at the shares last year, hope to see some familiar faces this year. I'll be bringing some Monkish and Casa Agria hops and a bunch of bottles to share.

 

I'm thinking of bringing some Central Waters Anniversaries, New Glarus R/D's, TG hops and perhaps a Huna. Maybe some Side Project? We'll see how frisky I feel when I pack tonight.

 

If you don't bring a water bottle, just rinse your glass between pours and drink the dirty beer water. Done it for the last 5 years and it's always been a perfect balance. I've also never done the bottle shares after the fest because I'm already in the wind, I also usually meet friends there and bottle shares aren't really in their wheelhouse.

Anyone have a good pre-invitational breakfast recommendation (or a place we should avoid because everyone will be there)?

Looking forward to finally cracking open a DDG & others I've been saving for this. We're not staying at any of the hot spots but we're definitely a lot closer than last year (we were in Atascadero) so hopefully we can hook up with a good group to share with and we won't have to bring most of our beers back home like last year.

FWIBF time is always the best weekend. Also echoing the comments about refusing to line up early.

 

I have arrived and already encountering my first hurdle....the cooler is too heavy. Need help, come drink beer so I can move my cooler

Edit: nvm, scienced the shit out of it. All are in fridge with playing tetris too. Drinking a timbo pils as a win
