Can confirm that Alesmith wasn't invited, despite emails going back and forth.

I don't understand this one. Must be 3 years since Alesmith was last there and they brought their A game too.

Sorry to the hype fan boys, but looks like Toppling Goliath has pulled out of attending FWIBF based on "scheduling conflicts". Only 50+ other breweries to enjoy brews from now...

Where did you see this? I was banking on them distracting people from all of the other good stuff.

They just couldn't afford it in their budget. They were $200 short on airfare....

I dunno man, kegs of bavss just sitting in the back slated for events...they could've brought it, but nope. I know Eric was trying to go too. So instead we (my buddy and I) are getting him in touch with a couple festivals across the pond.

There is a lot of good beer to drink. Don't waste your time standing in long lines in order to get that one tick, you would miss out on 4-5 other fantastic options. Eat a lot of food...hydrate..because it will be hot as hell more than likely.

Hit that food hard and fast. Towards the middle and end, folks savagely go through it and it will run out. The better ones sooner. I treat Firestone as a really good Paso dining experience first and then go for the no line beers second. Forget trying to do the big lines. Not worth the trouble.

Also great if you're able to treat the event as a recovery zone between bottle shares.

Do breweries ever post what they're bringing?

FW will post all the beer and food options before the event.

Right now my gameplan is to arrive the night before, walk over in the morning/afternoon and then walk back to the hotel to crash before I head home the next day. Is there any other brewery there worth taking a look at in my spare time? I assume there's some bottle sharing going on somewhere as well?

Hehehe, some ppl go just for the bottle shares. So yes, you can probably throw a rock in any direction and hit someone that is at a bottleshare.

Basically there is 1-3 at each hotel (in a public space, likely plenty more in rooms). Pretty much all the AirBNBs will likely have a group a friends having a share.

Stay away from the tacos al pastor. You'll hate them...
