Firestone Walker Invitational 2018

I know last year there were a bunch of people from here at the Adelaide share. I swallowed my Marriott pride and got a room there this year so I can get shitfaced with 100% less Uber fare. I haven't finalized what I'm bringing just yet, but it'll be a heavy dose of Bruery, Pure Project, Abnormal, Burning Beard and other San Diego goodness. Last year was my friend's first ever bottle share and first ever festival. Told him he jumped into the deeeeep end. He's gonna be bringing all the good stuff from the Bay Area.

Who all here am I gonna clink glasses at the pool in a few weeks on Friday night?

Thursday night I'll be staying by Monkish, but I should be around post-festival as well.

Anyone thinking about going to the friday night party that FW is putting on? Seems spendy for still having to buy beer...

 

Is there a share on Friday night?

 

I thought about it for a split second but the Adelaide share will be better.

 

I didn't even think for a split second. My immediate reaction was "why, there's already a Friday night party at the Adelaide". I responded as much on Facebook and FW replied that I raised a fair point. All in good fun of course. Can't go wrong with either, but I'd rather go low key and do some serious sharing.

 

I'll be there at the Adelaide as well. Friday & Saturday.

 

Anyone know if I’ll have a problem joining the Adelaide share if I’m not staying there? Guessing it shouldn’t be an issue. I’ll have lots of tasty Washington beer.

I wasn't staying at the Adelaide last year and it was no issue at all

It just saves you the uber ride

 

You just need to convince someone to get up and open the gate for you since you won't have a room key. Depending on the sobriety level of those sharing...it can be quite the challenge. =P

Someone tried to pull that on me last year but they weren't dragging a cooler with them. Sneaky sneaky ppl....I let them in anyways, mostly because I was closest to the gate and we needed more livers to help with the beer.

 

I'm assuming I probably ran into you last year at some point. That night was a... blur. To say the least.

 

I'll be sure to pack a sharpie and a stack of the "Hello, My Name Is" nametags for shits and giggles.
