But last year was a $20 hopped up barelywine which everyone thought was.... meh, at best.
Not to mention it was only at Paso. Splitting it with Barrelworks and it being something sounding far more interesting than last year could be a change up. At very least you can't use last year as a good example.

I can't be convinced that a Three Floyds collab Barleywine sold in CA is somehow less desirable than a two-pack Dark Saison, one of which has Peppercorns in it. The public isn't going to be rushing out to buy this, and a lot of people at the event won't be either. Hell, SARA has been trying to sell their Farmhouse Noir for how long?

I'm curious where AleSmith is this year. Last year they were pouring Vietnamese CS from the time the gates opened.

They won't be there this year.

regardless of selling out or not, I thought that the choice, if true, to put it on sell during the event at separate locations that AREN'T the event, seems a bit odd. But it's conflicting reports right now that Saturday or Sunday.

I'm guessing they figured they got too much stuff going on with the opening of their new building.

    If I only lived closer!

Easiest way (for us) would be to sell tickets/tokens at the fest so that everyone can just go and pick them up at the brewery, but I guess that would be extra, unnecessary hassle for them.

App was on Apple Store earlier today, I downloaded it. Pretty slick. There is not time listed for any of the beers yet, but there is a schedule tab. And I am sure they can change the beer descriptions for those times.

Yes app is live. It's very well done! Can go mark individual beers to try, mark your sampled beers, or even post straight to Untappd from the app.

This or even numbers/letters next to the breweries/restaurants on the main lists would have been nice.

I remember Ol Leghorn being sold at Barrelworks for awhile after FWIBF last year, but if these dark wild saisons are anything like Ago Ciliega, I wouldn't be surprised if they "sell out" initially with the Feral V-like number of cases.

Or the brewery number when using your wanted list...

Why could they not have had us Beta this bitch!

Thought the app was nice except yea for that no clickable map. At least if you pick find and click on something it'll zoom to the area where it's at.

Probably not at the festival...but at the brewery....just a guess.

Don't think they can "sell" beer at the festival, which is why they didn't do so last year for that collab. So it's only at the brewery/bottleworks.

any advice for a couple of first timers on how early to get in line for both early and general admission?

Early admission is only for people who purchased those specific tickets.

General admission just lines up at the main gate. I've never been first in line, but each as far as I can tell, the line moves very quickly and thousands of people flood in within minutes once the gates open. Just show up whenever you're comfortable and you'll be fine.
