Just got a Can yesterday, Fortem was great lets see how this one goes
Wish I could. I'm a couple hours north of the brewery and I can't find it.
it's just hit shelves down here in SoCaL LA/IE Area
Its a very drinkable double. Light, refreshing, all around solid. If you're looking for something unique, or bold, this isn't it. Tasty beverage, glad I bought a 4 pack, but won't get more.
so do u think fortem was a better one?
Agreed. I tried Adversus. Kind of disappointing to me for FW. You nailed it with the "light and refreshing, solid, but not unique". However, I expect more from FW.
From everything I've been hearing sounds like Fortem was the better of the 2. Haven't had Adversus but will definitely pick up a 4pk just because it's Firestone Walker
i've just had the Adversus and IMO I thought it was a very nice WEST Coast Style IPA. Clean, Crisp & Refreshing
I just saw on Twitter that it's hitting NJ and DE this week. Get it while it's fresh!
I've been grabbing Adversus around town each time I see it. $13 for a 4 pack around here. Like what others have said, it is very clean, crisp and easy drinking. A great DIPA for 100° days in Texas.
Heck, I'll pick up a couple just because it comes in CANs!
I enjoyed Fortem quite a lot. I can't wait to try this one.
Man, I thought Fortem was Disappointing with a capital D. The Luponic series has been so on point, and dare I say adventurous. The Fortem was just so "blah"... here's hoping they take of the training wheels with future releases.
I thought fortem was pretty solid. maybe you got an OLD ONE?
I definitely thought that Fortem was the better of the two but agree with the general sentiment that for such a hyped up special series both have been pretty standard beers that don't really push the envelope at all. Fortem was juicier, softer, Adversus was crisper and sharper. Both certainly tasty I was just surprised at how usual they were.
Perhaps. Had a can a few months ago, and then on tap a couple of weeks ago @ Salt Hill Pub in Leb NH. It's possible I just didn't like the hop profile.
Arizona is showing to have this around Mid to end of July so any time now, will be trying a pack.
On the lookout for this in Hampton Roads, VA... was hoping it'd hit this week. Maybe in a week or two...
Nah. Luponic is way better. If you didn't like Fortem, you wouldn't like Adversus. I don't like either, but I'd say Fortem was the better of the two.
This, plus stickee monkee, was supposed to hit san jose/ south bay distro in late May - June and never did...
I picked up a bottle on Monkey just the other day in Soquel. Still can't find L v. U in the South Bay.
Yah it hit the Santa Cruz area, that's where I got a bottle. Strange how bad their distribution is so close to home.
This one was good, but I thought Fortem was better.
Is this release worth a purchases?
just go to a total wine and more and just buy ONE can if you dont want to spend 20 bucks
I'm gonna be that guy.
I like this one much better. Crisp, big berry flavor, just the right bitterness. Without knowing the beer's profile, this has to be predominantly mosaic, no? I only bought one because I wasn't a huge fan of Fortem (that style is done way better by my locals) but I'm gonna have to get more of this.
I still can't find this stuff on FW's beer finder within 20 miles of my home. Incredible.
I still haven't found it in NJ yet. Did you get that on LI, or in NYC? I'd like to jump on it as fast as I can if it's in the area.
Milk and Hops Chelsea. They still have Ayinger Pils too
Thanks! I know where I'll be after work on Monday .
Picked it up in Charlottesville, VA, haven't had the chance to try it yet.
