IMO the word "lately" really needs emphasis. I too have found fresh Union Jack lately (canned on 02-17-16). Last year it took me 6-9 months of waiting and multiple retail store owner contacts to 'find' fresh Union Jack. I really do not fully understand the issues with Firestone Walker and distribution. Maybe it is 'fixed' now or maybe we just got lucky for the past month or so.

    Cheers!

Hate to say it, but I think it's just a wave. Been loving fresh Head Hunter on tap lately, easily up there with Union Jack.

I've been wanting to buy a sixer of UJ cans but can't find a date on the outside of the box. Anyone know a way to find the bottled on date without opening up the packaging?

Had it at the Fort Worth Saucer last weekend. They labeled it 267.

I liked it but nursed it like a DIPA as it came in a snifter.

The canned on date is on one of the longer sides of the box. It is in white ink on top of the figure of the bear. Once you know where to look it is quite evident.

    Cheers!

    We should enjoy the moment.
I agree completely. My local beer distributor told me that bottles should be available next month.

    Cheers!

I can't wait to pick up a six pack every time the new "Revolution" hits.

Yup, basically guaranteed fresh hops every 3 months. Can't beat that. (And I say that as someone who can regularly find fresh (anywhere from 2 - 6 week old) FW.)

Had a grunt of it last night. Very tasty, but I also thought there was a bit of an APA to it as well....lines kind of blurred

I have purchased it on 2 separate occasions in Buffalo NY and both times it was very fresh. I though that it was a solid IPA not not remarkable enough to go ballistic over. There are so many great IPAs out there and this one does not stand out enough to go to the front of the pack - in my opinion. But I did purchase it a second time :grinning:

One of the better pale ales I've tried recently.

I just picked up some of this last week. It was very good. Not the best I have had but it was above average. I would get it again.

I'm a fan of this. My buddy threw it in as an extra when it was first released and although I agree it isn't a standout pale or anything I did find it to be an easy going, accessible, tasty pale. Good bbq beer. Refreshing. Doesn't leave you feeling to heavy or bloated. Good stuff.

If we judge it against other <6% beers ( call it APA if you want), I think it stacks up pretty well. Of course it's not Union Jack but that's not what it's trying to be. I like APA/IPA beers with distinct and distinctive hops flavors...this one fills the bill for me. I am always looking for more low ABV beers that are extra tasty.

I really don't enjoy session IPA's so this really fits the bill for a good summer drinker for me. It carries enough substance without the extra abv of the 7-8.5% ipa/dipa's that i usually drink. I bought a 12 pack of this for a bbq today and I'm excited to crush some.
