The answer as a practical matter is obviously no. They enjoy it. Let them have their fun. I'll be spending the morning after thanksgiving freezing my ass off in a tree stand waiting for a deer to walk by. To each his own.

 

I'm pretty sure when they say "cases" it still means 12 per, even though they are packaged in cases of 6.

The cases that have come to MD have all been 6. I think you may be mistaken

 

Whenever a case is mentioned in a batch size it equals 12.

Most of the Parabola and other special "Proprietor's Vintage Series" releases that hit distro are packaged in 1/2 case boxes.

I still don't see what is so confusing here.

 

Unless it is a case limit in which this isn't. I really don't see why it matters 6 or 12. Case size doesn't change the quality of beer.

 

Local Distributor here in Lompoc California is saying this will only be available at the Brewery and Brewpubs. Buelton Brewpub is just 20 miles away and they are saying this is unobtanium for local liquor stores.

 

It doesn't affect quality, but it does affect the QUANTITY. Previous posters were trying to determine how many bottles were available based on the 600 "cases" produced. If it's 12 to a case it would be 7200. If it's 6 to a case, then it would be half that number.

My contention is that a "case" of 22oz bombers is 12 bottles regardless if they are packed in boxes of 6 (like most of the Proprietor's Vintage Series are).

 

This sounds absolutely incredible and I am insanely jealous of every one of you who is going to this release. Y'all better be writing incredibly detailed reviews, because this deserves more than a simple "Had" rating.

 

It wouldn't be the first time that FW beers that were produced in pilot batches, such as Velvet Merkin and Helldorado, were somewhat different when mass-produced a year or three later. I hope this is not the case with Parabajava. Or I will complain to the proper authority. Like my bartender.

 

I get it I just don't really see how overall production matters. It is a brewery only release in limited amounts. I can see if it was going to get distributed and you really wanted to figure out your odds of scoring a bottle. Too many people worried about bottle counts now. The cases produced is based on 6 per case FWIW.

They will only have 600 bottles at Barrelworks per an employee their today. Pasa Robles is getting more, but they didn't know how much more.

Just the messenger... she said 100 cases at 6 bottles/case. I asked again to confirm a few minutes later, which is win she said Pasa Robles would be getting more than 600.

 

What time will people be lining up?
