That's a really good price considering that they're $16.99 at the source. I'd go check out my local Costos, but I've already purchased my bottles of Parabola for this year.

Got super lucky here in Flagstaff, I saw the picture from my shop uploaded two hours ago, booked it over, and snagged the last one! This weekend can't come fast enough...

Hello All, I'm new to forums as member but have been a regular visitor of site for information. Anyone in or near Cape Cod find any Parabola recently? Or even South Eastern Mass?

I don't get it. Imperial stouts - especially barrel aged imperial stouts - are my favorite style of beer, but I think Parabola is hugely overrated. I feel like if it were available year round it would be a shelf turd, but since it's rare everyone has to have it.

Not yet. All of the Firestone boxed beers take a long time to get to MA. Keep an eye on the New England sub-forum as the days pass.

Flying off the shelves here in AZ- gone in a few hours from all the stores that received bottles so far.

...and here I was thinking I was alone with this thought. Outside of Sucaba, I've not had a single Firestone Walker Barrel Aged beer that I though was worth the money, hype, or a descriptor more praising than 'okay'.

I actually liked it. Really good mouthfeel and after taste. Tasted the malt, chocolate, slight vanilla. Def worth a try

I only wish this was true. We can keep dreaming though.

I'll start. Last year's was much better.

I got my hands on my first bottle of Parabola this year...albeit from on online retailer. I am not a chaser and was not about to go stalking for it in my area. I have wanted to try it for a long time to see if it lives up to the hype. Sorry if it's been asked before but do any of you let it continue to age or do you enjoy it out of the gate? Thanks in advance.

^^ When you did age it did you find that it got "better"? Thanks.

If you've never had Parabola fresh - don't bother aging it as it's not going to get "better", and it's tasting smooth enough fresh.

Not appreciably. It changes some, but if I only get one bottle, it will be drunk fresh.
