Firestone Walker - Parabola 2014

For as scarce as it is, if I saw it on the shelf for that price, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

 

Went for $25 at a local tavern to go, I gladly paid it because it was available and I didn't have to hunt.

 

Just picked up 7 parabolas at BevMo. I had to drive 45 mins to this Bevmo. All the others were sold out and this store had 16 in stock (According to their website). Only saw 7 on the shelves, so I grabbed them. There was probably more in the back but this was a good stopping point lol.

The funny thing is that when I was at the cash register, the girl said "finally someone bought these". She said they weren't selling well and they have had them for a while.

 

Wow, that's just insane to think about. Nice haul.

 

My local bevmo still has several. They've been rationing them 2 per person. I've gone in several days in a row now. Getting stock to send out to other people.

 

Seriously, factoring in cost of transportation and time to boot...makes a difference.

 

Parabola is (should) not be hard to find in San Diego/OC, for those who were asking. I think every single time I've gone from AZ to CA, I've found it in at least one place all times of the year.

 

They are hard to come by up here in northern california. I am sure in central california where Firestone is from, it is probably a lot easier to find and I am sure every bar and restaurant has it on tap.

 

I'm in nor-cal and have not had any issue. My sources are drying up. As of this afternoon, I know there are at least 4 left...

 

Anybody see any Parabola in MA or RI? Will be up there soon and would like to grab a bottle. Got one in a trade and let's just say that one is long gone..

It's not as easy as you think. Every local place is a one bottle limit, the Bottleworks in Buellton didn't even have any last weekend, and it is not on tap anywhere locally. Hope they stocked up for the Stickee Monkee release tomorrow.

 

The place I went to and got 7 from still have 9 left in stock. They told me that they have been there a while and haven't been selling well.

 

A place close to me got it today, my wife and I went to get a bottle, over the phone I was told one per person, when we got there I asked for a bottle and so did my wife and the guy said one per party. Now I don't have a problem if that's their business practice.....but they've never done that before. Oh well, lol

 

Lovely beverage on draft, no bottles found yet but still looking - this is a keeper.

 

Looks like this showed up at some additional stores in South NJ this week! Scored another bottle last night, got the last one!

 

Oh man, where exactly in NJ?

 

anyone tried bottles older than 2013s? Sitting on a few 2013s but debating whether to drink all or save a few and let it age some more.
