Would be nice to see this in GJ.

I wouldn't say the bottle I cracked last night had a "nasty bitterness," but I would say (even accounting for the fallibility of memory) that it struck me as noticeably drier and oak-ier than recent vintages, which could be akin to a kind of bitterness on the palate. It was still really good--don't get me wrong--but perhaps not as smooth as the releases of the last few years. Such is the art (and not the science) of barrel-ageing beer...

Drinking one now. I love this batch. The oak is very prominent, but I dig it. Tons of caramel and vanilla flavor. Hot, but I don't mind that in. 13% BA stout. Glad is stashed a couple bottles into to my cellar/vertical.

Picked up a bottle tonight for $18. It probably won't last long.

There's always some loser that wants to say what you haven't had is bad, just try it, those kids are all losers

That's probably because everybody has a different opinion. :stuck_out_tongue:

Trust in Rob, he speaks the truth. But I don't listen to him and usually aim for 6 because I quite enjoy Parabola and like to have a few throughout the year.

Just cracked open a 2012, best version of Parabola ever - a beer to serve the Gods. So I think it would hold well if stored in the fridge.

I cracked open my bottle tonight, and this might be the best vintage I've had (though of the five vintages I've tried, only two were fresh). It's flawless this year.

I think stores in Las Vegas will too. Hopefully I'm able to get a bottle, but I won't be holding my breath.

To all BA members who reside in Chicagoland:
Some suburban Binny's are already sold out or didn't receive shipment yet. However, I went to two locations that received there allotment today, those being Des Plaines and Skokie. The latter location is almost sold out. The big fish in the binnys pond, Lincoln Park location on Marcey st, is receiving a "rather large" quantity tomorrow, 4/15. Hope this helps. Happy hunting!

I went to my local liquor store and they were all gone. They were $17.99 with a 2 bottle limit. I'll keep searching, though.
