Firestone Walker Parabola 2016

April 2nd? I was told my local Markstein got them in today, and they will be going out to stores tomorrow.

Edit: Huh. It does indeed say April 2nd on Twitter. I guess he was mistaken.

 

Called a local spot today. They said they will get it in tomorrow (Friday 3/25) or Tuesday, but didn't say how much they were getting.

 

Waiting to get some up in Seattle. Missed it last year. Not again!

 

Is there usually a limit on Parabola? Or there's a limit on release day at the brewery only?

 

Last year was 4pp. This year it's 2pp. In Paso it will only be available at the Brewery Emporium, so no double dipping in the taproom like last year.

 

I hope I can find a bottle. My understanding is that it is incredibly scarce around here, my local shop says maybe 3-6 bottles for the entire store and one year they got two..

 

Since all you California BA's are on this thread...I'm up for trades!

 

They're either sending more out to distribution or just want to it last longer at the brewery.

 

I'll be in wine country April 6th-10th. Any chance of finding some near San Fran?

 

I remember last year we got it I think 1-2 days before the release as well. Probably just trying to have it out for distro for the 2nd as well and the distributors are sending it out early.

 

Where in wine country? Napa, Sonoma? There is a pretty big radius full of possibilities in the Bay Area.

Has anyone seen if they'll be doing a soft opening in Venice for the release? They keep teasing that they might be open, but they haven't committed either way.

 

The only time I've been to Barrelworks for a Parabola release was in 2014 and I think you could buy a case (6 bottles).

I think there is typically a limit at Barrelworks and in Paso but this is the lowest I've seen it.

 

Went to my shop that was suppose to have it today...they didn't. They said maybe next week.

 

Can wait to grab some of these bad boys.

 

Just called the brewery regarding Venice. The guy who answered said, April 6th for the opening, but there are still issues with permits so he recommended to check there next week to be sure.

 

There's probably a 1 per customer limit.. was at the Paso Robles Emporium location and they had a 1 per customer for the limited varieties from fw/barrelworks (sucaba, parabajava, velvet merkin, various anniversaries and a few sours- bretta, agrestic and feral one).
