Anyone know when this will show up in Chicagoland (and immediately disappear)?

 

I'm going to call my shop again today and see if it's in.

 

In chicago area, so far they have said have not got the shipment yet, but have not told me expected dates.....

 

I've been checking my local BevMo here in Santa Monica. I was told b/t March 31st and April 10th..

 

Prepare to get that answer until it's too late and it's already gone. The Chicago scene is mad

So my shop said they heard back from their distributor that April 2nd is the day. Unlikely they will have it that day. Should be there by by the next delivery a few days later.

So KBS on the 1st, Parabola on the second. The little one is going to get some good beer store time this weekend.

 

I wouldn't count on seeing this for a couple weeks yet in IL. I don't know for sure, but that is based on the timing of other FW releases after they hit CA.

 

Can't wait. If it is anything like last years, it will be awesome. Bring it on !!!!!

Wait, so this will be available in stores on the 2nd of April or is that the date that they will start shipping Parabola to stores?

 

I've got a friend around Huntington Beach who's flying out to Texas tomorrow... he's not a big beer guy, is it worth seeing if he can find a bottle?

 

Brewery release is Saturday. Anyone east of the great plains will be waiting at least three more weeks for this, sadly.

 

I had Sucaba for the first time last weekend. Never had Parabola. I've got a handful of FW beers I've been ISO for a year with little luck:

Parabola
Stickee Monkee
Sucaba
Helldorado

They don't sell in Iowa (but are coming). I have them on my "I'll probably never have them" list because we'll likely get extremely limited quantities with everyone ISO.

 

So, in my opinion Sucaba is awesome and Stickee is amazing, but Heldorado was one of my least favorite beers ever. I don't think you should feel too bad if you can't find it.

 

Having lived near Barrelworks for over 5 years, it's been crazy awesome to get to try FW stuff. Parabola is one of the best. Parabajava was even better somehow. I'm excited to stock up my cellar with this year's batch. Most places in CA seem to get a ton.
