Firestone Walker Parabola in CO?

Haha! That's great! This is almost as good as the Mayor having 100 Funkwerks beers on tap yesterday.

 

Riley just told me he's had 4 phone calls about the limited edition Parabola this morning.

If people cannot read or refuse to read, it's their fault. I assume they saw the picture of the label and assumed it was in...without reading all those words. It could have said "limit 1", "we are not getting any", etc...but the label is all they saw, blind to the words.

Mr. B's just posted that they have some. And Pliny, Jai Alai, and Humidor from CCB.

 

I was just at Mr. B's...better hurry...because it's going very quick. Couldn't believe how fast others mobilized. Actually, I can believe it. Mondo Vino also had a good selection of CCB (an hour or so ago).

 

I guess the stronger bourbon flavor masked the hopiness more in the '12.
I tried some spots in the Denver area, I was too late to Mondo Vino, too early to Mr. B's. Everyone else either said tomorrow or they weren't sure.
Guess I'll try again tomorrow.

Parabola is not what it used to be. Now this Bible Belt stuff....surprised you all are leaving it behind when you're stocking up on FW's P.

I'm clearing the shelves since the only beer that has bottle limits this week seems to be Parabola ;-)

 

Y'all have have your barrel aged nonsense and limits for each customer. I'm on the hunt for vintages of this little gem.

Thought about grabbing a bottle of this earlier, but I am not a vanilla bean fan and I did find the vanilla bean component to be a deterrent for me in Prairie's Bomb, so passed on it.

 

I barely got it; this shit goes fast now. I kind of hope it sucks, so I don't have to sweat buying it again. I miss 2012, when it was awesome, and it was on shelves for about 2 months.

 

FWIW - opened a btl of the '14 tonight. This is very good this year -- I agree w other commenters that '13 was meh. This is a bit hot so a few months will mellow it out, but much better this year...
