Firestone Walker Proprietor's Series Glass

I ordered two earlier this week and they should arrive tomorrow. I'll follow up when I receive them.

 

so the copy says it is ".3L (approx. 14oz)." How do they figure .3L is 14 ounces? Wouldn't that be around 10-11 ounces?

 

I have noticed a few breweries doing this and it is misleading. My guess is that there is a fill line about 3/4 of the way up the glass that marks .3L. The entire glass is likely 18-20 oz. Deschutes does the same thing.

 

It looks kinda like the NB balloon glass.

 

it's definitely my go to glass. The best part is the "FW" on the other side of the glass. It's pretty sweet looking.

 

Yeah that makes sense. The way they worded it, though, sounds like they don't know how to do the metric conversion. Of course, we are metric-hating Americans

 

I'm glad that's the same glass, I though that they were 2 different glasses...

Me too. If you look very carefully at the pictures online you can barely make out the script on the other side. They actually should clarify that there is script on both sides of the glass somewhere in the online description. I do love glassware that has script/artwork on both sides (e.g. Stone's IRS snifter).

 

I didn't even notice that until your post. What is the script? You can see that something is there but I can't tell what it is. Is it the "FW" logo?

 

The Proprietor's Reserve series logo is on one side and the FW logo is on the other. Really sweet! Mine are being delivered today. I'll post pictures when I get them.

 

Thanks for that. Had I known that I would have ordered two. I only got one and a bunch of the tasting sized snifters. Oh well...

 

For the people who own it, what is the maximum capacity? 18-20oz? It doesn't look that big, but it's hard to tell just from a picture.

I ordered one regardless. Nice looking glass.

 

If I had to guess I'd say 14-16oz. I was able to pour a 12oz bottle and there was about a finger left for head.

 

This could be my new favorite glass. It fits a 12 ounce nicely but probably maxes out at 13 or 14. The glass is a little thinner most of my other glasses and it is smaller, but size doesn't matter right?

 

I wanted the one with FW on it. I had no idea it was the same glass. Placing order now!

 

Finally got mine yesterday. Beautiful glass but I have to say that I am a little disappointed with the size. For some reason I expected a .33L pour line with a slightly larger glass but the glass itself is just big enough to hold a 12 oz beer. I doubt this will become a go-to glass, but I will use it to drink my FW beers.

I also ordered 6 of the 6 oz taster-size snifter... wow are they ever tiny. So much so that I wonder if they will be awkward to drink out of. For what they are, they are great glasses though.
