Never said Pale 31 wasn't superior to 805 but 805 is a money maker for FW. Don't be shocked if Double Barrell, which I used to buy quite a bit back in the days, is in its last days on shelves as well.

The new Firestone Lager is pretty f'in awesome. If Pale 31 was "Old Yellered" to make room for this beer I won't be losing any sleep.

What Firestone Lager are you referring to? Is this a draught only thing?

No, our beer rep brought in a few sample cans yesterday. It is in a white can with (I believe) gold writing. It just says Firestone Lager and then something like Original Extra Premium. I added the beer yesterday but can never figure out how to add a pic. I will post a pic of my empty can to this forum when I get home from work this afternoon.

Bizarre that it's not even listed on the FW website!

Sorry, I meant that I don't know how to resize the image to upload it to the actual beer page.

I know, I tried to find it yesterday to see what style FW classify it as. The can date was mid January and it was the actual label pictured, not those weird labelled sample cans that some breweries send out.

Just listened to a podcast wth Firewalker’s Matt B. It was interesting to hear that pale 31 has Union Jack blended in it. It was also good to hear that there will be a few new pale ales coming out from FW this year as well as a canned lager.

DBA will never go away because it’s David’s favorite beer and drinks it every day.

NICE, Now if I could just get a little help finding it fresh ::magnifying glass::

A place near me who knows what they are doing and demands fresh beer or refuses delivery took some out of code DBA on closeout, this was probably a couple years ago. Anyways the buyer was upfront about it, and had them for like $5.99/6pk... I was smart enough to only buy one... no bueno. It's not that hoppy of a beer, but it's a delicate beer. I've gotten cans at bars that have been iffy too.

When it's on, it's EASILY my favorite EPA/ESP, and my favorite FW taboot.

I’m just back from San Diego this weekend and 805 is everywhere. It was the best beer at every golf course I was at, and was the freshest beer I found at BevMo

So I obviously had my fair share this weekend. One of very few blonde ales I enjoy. That said, I’m not surprised. It’s FW. I actually snuck a couple cans back on the plane

Salute! Pale 31 you are and will forever be in our hearts....a great beer indeed. As an east coast dweller I’m proud to have tried your fine glass!

I had it on tap in San Francisco and did not like it. I thought it was so bland and macro-esque.

Then a couple years back I was in FW Paso Robles for their anniversary party on a pretty warm day (70s/80s) and then it hit me - it's a great blonde, and a perfect summer beer.
