Firestone Walker Stickee Monkee 2015

Had to go to 3 Bevmos & 3 TWs but a case and a bottle later, my poor truck is worn out from all that traveling. Well worth it all though. One Bevmo saved me their last one over the phone, never been to their location ever. Good times!

San Fernando Valley update:

The Trader Joe's in Simi Valley got it and sold out already (5/31).
The Total Wine in Northridge had it on Friday 5/29 and is now (5/31) sold out. They had a one bottle per customer limit.
No BevMo in Simi Valley or the San Fernando Valley has gotten it yet.
Bottle shops in the SFV have not yet gotten it.
Thanks to Allied, our sh*tty beer distributor in the SFV, it may show up this week some time.

All of the Bevmo's I have contacted in the Bay Area are receiving them this week.

 

I was able to get 2 bottles, HB, CA. I didnt try for more or else I may have been able to score 4 more or so. If it was parabola on the other hand, I would have been to 4 stores to get 12 bottles

 

Its in all the burbs already. Hit plainfield, naperville, and orland park binnys last week.

 

DG, Glen Ellyn and Oakbrook Binnys did not get it last week, so hopefully they get it.

 

I came by Weds 5/27 at TW in northridge, they got them that morning. When I spoke to Eric on the phone, he told me limit 2 . So when they tried to limit it to 1 for me, I told them Eric said 2. And they gave in. Not sure if Eric mispoke or what, but he did tell me 2.

I grabbed two more 5/29 at TW in tustwin with my girlfriend - they had limit 1. They keep them in the front, you have to ask for it.

A bunch of stores in from Orange County to S.F. got Stickee Monkee last weds/thursday. I follow several craft beer stores on instagram, and they always post it asap.
I highly suggest hitting up craft beer stores on instagram !

 

I just use the FW beer finder. If the store is near enough to be worth the slight detour from wherever I happen to be going, I'll swing by. If they're sold out, well... no biggie.

 

Afternoon of 06/01/15:

On the west side of LA, I went by TJ's at Sepuleveda and Palms - no stock
TJ's at Olympic and Granville (2 cases received on 05/23, beer guy reported they were gone within hours)
The Duck Blind (received one case, sold out same day - and no Pliny, either)

So... I didn't have any trouble getting this beer last year and this year it's become truck-chaser bait.

Still hasn't hit accounts in the San Fernando Valley or Santa Clarita Valley yet. And no BevMos.

Based on how fast these are selling out, FW should have priced them at double or even triple the going rate. Not saying I'd be happy with that or that I would buy it at that price point, but there's clearly a market demand for this (and all their other reserve) beer.

 

In response to the original question, it came out last week and although it gets snapped up quickly you should be able to find some for the next couple weeks or longer if you have a local hidden gem store that holds on to it.

Anyone know if this hit Texas yet (more precisely San Antonio), or if not, when?

 

Self quote'd. This was on shelves at supermarket and wilburs as of an hour ago. Not sure on case allotment, but was told at both places it was super limited.

 

I stopped at Binny's in Des Plaines and they had one bottle left. Score! Looking forward to trying it.

 

It pays to use the Firestone finder. Picked up two at an out-of-the-way place that still had all six of their allotment. $17.99 per bottle.
