Firestone Walker Sucaba (2014, Batch 004)

Was just at Costco in Niles and saw no sign of it...funny (not in a ha-ha way) that many smaller bottle shops here got 6 bottles.

 

Still waiting for this in Texas.

 

I'm in Chicago & I only saw this at a few places but from what I see now, every place is sold out or they didn't even get it. My best friend out in San Diego said he found a place with plenty in stock.

 

That's putting it lightly...

 

Just stopped in a store today and picked up a bottle. They had at least 5 more and like 6 anniversary left too.

best Barleywine ever! brought last years to this past Thanksgiving, Amazing! I can get some fairly regularly, its nice. Also the 2012 DDBA drinks Amazing now! love the whole reserve series!

 

I hated the 17. I got it for $11.99 a bottle. didnt care for it sadly. love the rest of the reserve series. can you get KBBS from T-Goliath? trade?

About 20 mins west of Atlantic city. There was a place near my daughters basketball game that I hardly ever go to that had them. They had a few double dba, anniversary and sucaba on shelves. Small craft section so I'm assuming it doesn't move fast there cause everywhere else in my normal area of stores is out. I'm assuming that maybe it just hit shelves on Friday though as my normal beer store manager usually let's me know when that kind of stuff comes in.

 

And it was 2014 sucaba?

 

If you're willing to drive to Providence, Wine & Spirits (near the Whole Foods) has a few bottles left. My girlfriend lives near there and we've had the fortune of being able to snag 3 bottles. Not enough people in the area are smart enough to even realize what it is (lots of college kids in the area).

Yes sir. 2014 vintage. I may have to go back now and scoop some more up. Only grabbed 1 cause wife was in car at the time, lol.

Building just says Gourmet. Seems like maybe a smaller more upscale place (prices seemed a little higher than average for area). Picked up 2 more bottles and nothing has moved since yesterday. Still 3 bottles of sucaba, 5-6 anniversary and what looked like 10-12 double dba. Sucaba was $15, anniversary $20 and ddba $14. Pretty small craft section even taking into account that it's not a huge store. Wasn't really anyone in store to talk to other than a clueless cashier. Hoping they see some parabola when it releases too.

 

Picked four at Bottle Barn for $13.49 last week. Not sure if they have anymore, they were going quick. BevMo in Santa Rosa and Petaluma has them for $15.99. The Petaluma store still has at least four cases of 17 and a couple of DDBA.

 

It was in Rio Grande, NJ Canals today, I am guess it is hitting NJ this week.
