Oh man, do I hate that one. I'm sure (or at least hoping) they are telling the truth and really don't have an exact date due to their distributor not giving full info, but I always get disappointed when I hear that response.

Acquired two bottles today. $15.99 at WF RWC. Limit 2.

Was happy to get these; was considering MOAS at another store but balked at the $25 price tag.

Also picked up BaB! Yeah that's right, I made another stupid acronym!

It's a great beer but doesn't taste anything like a typical quad. There is no Belgian yeast flavor at all.

I picked up 2 bottles priced at $15.99 last night and was surprised to see it at a local grocery store today at $14.44. I had one bottle last night and loved it although the 13.x% did kick my ass. It's certainly a great bottle to share.

Total Wine had some. I'd stop by the Centennial store next week. They're getting the shipment a week late (for reasons I can't say). They're going to do 1 bottle per person as usual, but yeah... Thursday is the day the distributor drops off firestone products.

Now you know how the rest of us feel about "Chicago people" and stocking up on Prop.

Damn, all their stores are super far away from where I am right now! I'll go to one of them and see if they have one, though. Thanks!

I found a bottle for a bout $19 after tax in Northern CO. I find this beer is always a bit easier to find than Parabola. Which is fair. Pumped to try it! The only question is how long do I wait? Anyone tried vintages? I'm wondering when this beer typically peaks. (Not that I'll probably wait that long anyway unless I buy more bottles to set aside.)

When has anyone experienced "watered down parabola"? Just curious. Every sample I've ever had has been thick viscous, deliciousness- Both fresh and aged 1+ years.

personal preference.... if you havent tried the beer id recommend trying it fresh then looking for another bottle to stash and try again at a later date.

Agreed. Fresh vs. aged are two totally different experiences. Both are good, but one of those experiences can be "enlightening" imho. :stuck_out_tongue::grinning:

I often have good luck with the big liquor stores which sell craft beer. They usually have some bottles of difficult to find high demand beers available. I usually buy Parabola, Sucaba and Stickee Monkey in big liquor stores. Best to call first.

I was in a big liquor store recently and found that they had about a dozen BCBS and 3 bottles of the Barleywine.

I'm still hearing a vague "end of February" in North Jersey.

Or (as with any FW boxed beer)..if I am enjoying it by myself, I use my trusty Rabbit stopper and drink the second half the next night.
