Firestone Walker Vintage Releases NJ

Jan 16th was the brewery date. It's rare for us to get these within a month. Stickee was almost 3 months if I remember correctly (so late it released at the same time as Velvet Merkin).

 

Not bottles but at the Shepherd and Knucklehead on March 3:

Last year it looks like it hit pretty quick...but then the rest of the big releases were at least a month after brewery release. Hopefully soon!

 

Can someone explain to me Firestone's distribution for SNJ (Deptford area)? Who even is their distributor. I have no clue when anything shows up.

In most of NJ, Firestone-Walker is distributed by the local AB houses. So, south of I-195 that means Ritchie & Page, Konrad (in Deptford - no website) and Harrison.

 

Ritchie & Page definitely has Monmouth and Ocean. Let the debate as to what is North, South, or Central NJ ensue...

 

Buy Rite in North Plainfield just put Helldorado on Beermenus last week. I didn't get a chance to stop in, but that came out a long time ago, and hadn't heard of anyone finding it in NJ. I picked up a bottle of Velvet Merkin, Buy Rite did a lottery draw for the right to buy a bottle, so I'm guessing they were allocated a very small amount. Just 4 or 5 years ago, Sucaba sat on shelves for months. Please update if you hear anything.

 

I haven't seen a FW special release bottle in NJ in years. I don't ever see it advertised anywhere.

 

I feel like I remember my local stores getting Sucaba and Parabaloa the same exact time last year whatever that means. Same thing happened with Helldorado and Stickee Monkey this year when they were released months apart.

 

Couple stores in my stomping grounds (Ocean County) got Helldorado so it was around but just was not much of it. That hit at the same time as Stickee Monkee as noted by Dschwartz83, which had been released MONTHS before...

 

These boxes are becoming rarer and rarer in NJ.

 

Only time I've ever found Sucaba or Helldorado was at Total Wine/Cherry Hill but just had to call to find out.

 

Stopped into Stew Leonard's in Clifton while out doing errands and they had 4 bottles of Sucaba sitting on the shelf with the regular FW bottles. Was able to split the 4 with another guy, thank you to him, so they are around.

 

Sucaba. TW riveredge. 1 per person. Looks like one case left behind the counter

 

Anyone know if Firestone Walker Luponic Distortion hit NJ yet? If not , when?
