I had one fresh and one a week ago. It's already not the same beer. The Parabola of course is still leading the pack but it's mellowed and the other blends are more apparent. To each their own. I preferred it fresh.

I had XVIII, loved it, blew off the shelves in my local bottle shops, I was able to pick up two bottles and gone. Looking forward to trying XIX. Saw it pop up a few times but the price had increased to $30 a bottle so I passed.

In other news, according to their Twitter feed it sounds like they might be bottling Parabajava.

Thought XV was excellent for a barleywine-like brew and XVI was my favorite since. XVII has been my least favorite and XVIII sneaks in just behind XVI. I do prefer heavier on the stout but like would love to see something more like XV again.

I saw that too, and was quite intrigued. If it makes it to distribution, it'll be a mess to acquire.

As for the XIX, I'm looking forward to trying it, hopefully. Not looking forward to sourcing a bottle, though. I've only ever had XVII (still have a bottle of XVIII at home), and loved it, so interesting to hear some others say it wasn't one of their favorites. I have been less than impressed with Parabola when I tried it on its own, so maybe I prefer the versions that have a lower % of that (which XVII did).

Did they give any indication of release date? Ive heard previously possible black friday release at the brewery which im hoping for. Would be nice if alot of people were out waiting in lines for bourbon county and made getting Parabajava a little easier.

That would make sense, given that's how they released Maltose Falcons last year.
