I've yet to have a bad FW Anniversary beer, so am pumped to (hopefully) get some of this.

My first post here but long time craft beer drinker. This is one I'm really excited about as the last few releases have been amazing! Can't wait to do a 16-20 share.

I went to last year's as well. It was my first FSW event. I was very pleased. Bravo 30 was my favorite of the day!

I think it's totally worth it, provided it has a good amount of parabola in it!

Looks like you can only get at their facility? That sucks, would have loved to try it.

Why do you think that? These typically see distribution, so I don't see why this year would be any different.

If they release it 10/29 at their locations, I'd say it'll be more late November to early December, based on how their other barrel aged beers seem to be distributed. Regardless, there is no reason (that I know of) that it won't make it to our markets. Finding a bottle at your local shop is a whole different matter, though!

I know they posted on Twitter about the process of it, and which winery won the blending, but not sure if they said what the components & percentages were.

Right now you can only get at their facility, figuring by the time they head out and by time I may come across some odds are not in my favor is all. I will be looking just if local you can snag on spot is all. But I guess that is what makes it fun, the thrill of the hunt.

I think this is consistent with how they've done it in the past, though....right? So my point was that this year's doesn't seem to be any different than other years.

They do this with all their BBA beers (minus the party they have for the anniversary beer) - they release it at their locations first, and then it hits distribution.

not to be overly snarky or confrontational, but what would be a "bad" blend?

Velvet Merkin should be the next to drop shouldn't it? I haven't seen any release info though other than the range on FW website.

At least similar bottle count as other years. Looking forward to the Boulevard/FW collab too. Similar to the 19th anniversary, blend of 4 beers only this is 2 Blvd & 2 FW beers, blended by Brewers not wine makers. Will be cool to notice the difference in themes.

How could you now be excited for that blend? I would bet the Firestone Walker 20th Anniversary blend is better, but this seems like it will age very well.

Boulevard/Firestone Walker Collab 6 Blend: 45% BBQ 35% Stickee Monkee 10% Tart Cherry Imperial Stout 10% Velvet Merkin

thank you for posting! wow that's a lot of beers! I wonder what pgweizen is, barrel aged hef I assume.
looks like it's a break down of the barrels they have to blend together?

hoping for it to be parabola heavy!

Those were the total number of barrels that FW has available for the blend. The winemakers get the chance to come up with the blend based on those barrels available, knowing that they have to get to a total of 240-260 barrels (so, they can't just do 50% Parabola and 50% Helldorado, because that wouldn't make enough). So, we still don't know the actual blend, but it gives us an idea of what they had to work with.
